Reviewing because i saw someone claim theyre not trans friendly. This is nonsense at least in my experience. Been coming here for about a year and had been on hormones for about 6 months prior to that through planned parenthood elsewhere ive been shown nothing but respect. Fwiw MtF
The receptionist & nurse are so polite and friendly! Tried to pronounce my name right and the check in process was smooth. Although the billing customer service took forever to pick up my call and the gynecologist I got was not very gentle and seems careless.
All the workers here are absolute angels. I have never gotten any pevic exam before my appointment, which I had scheduled to get an IUD. I was very nervous but the nurses were very kind and understanding. The doctor who inserted my IUD was very paitent and kind towards me despite me being super nervous and crying due to my anxiety over the procedure. When I went to checkout, the nurse asked if I was okay, and when I said I didn't know, she let me sit down and gave me a sprite and just let me calm down. I just cannot describe how grateful I am towards them and their profession. Thank you <3
This is the worst planned Parenthood I've ever been to . The nurse laughed in my face when I told her I didn't have insurance. Said she scheduled an appointment for me for today and when I got there there was no appointment scheduled. Very rude and unwelcoming . I'm sorry for anyone who has to deal with these people
everyone there is super nice and helpful, very professional and educated, except for this one rancid woman who answers the phone sometimes. incredibly rude and condescending. she's never given me her name but I assume she's an older woman. my wife had a rather severe problem and went to make a follow up appointment after receiving some care, and this womans response was "but do you really need it, though? i mean i dont see anything here, so i dont think you need it" even though the doctor told her to make a follow up appointment if she was still feeling ill - and she was. she wouldn't let my wife make a follow up appointment at all. Another time, she tried calling to return a call and the woman put her on hold for five minutes before hanging up on her, and when she called back, the woman just hung up on her immediately. I missed a call regarding my perscription and not even ten minutes later I called back and got this woman, who kept putting me on hold and taking me off hold over and over for five minutes before sending me straight to voicemail and I still haven't received a response to my voicemail. Fire this horrible little woman if you value good work.
Planned Parenthood is great! They provide important resources to the community. This is a good place to get birth control or a gyn check-up. They're quick, clean, and flexible. They squeezed me in several times with no appointment for emergencies. The staff is caring. They're LGBT friendly, including non-binary people. They need to do better with using correct pronouns and names though. They provide accessible hormone replacement therapy for trans people!
I had an appointment here and they called 20 minutes before saying our insurance didn’t cover it. The person we spoke to said she had been on the phone with my insurance company for an hour in a half. We ended up speaking to the manager about what we should do because I had driven down and taken off work and she didn’t really seem to care but she said we could try calling the insurance for ourselves. We call our insurance and they say that they cover this exact clinic. Soooo we call the manager again she says there’s no more openings but she will call later or something. Never get a call and we called this morning but will probably have to wait until Monday. I feel so neglected by this clinic at the moment. They have no decency for me or my situation, neither did they try to right their wrong.
Not trans-friendly. Tried transferring here for HRT already 1yr on but they said they can't see men. Asked about my genitalia, and said "so a male, they can't see males."
I had to get some tests run for my job I'm a phlebotomist so they require all workers to get tested for certain diseases that they could give to a patient before they start working and the people here were amazing. There was a five minute wait and they had so much information available for me and everyone else. They had information for men, women, gay couples, straight couples. Everyone. Best of all, it was all free. I can afford to go and get the tests on my own so this was a blessing. They do have take donations for their services and I encourage you to give. I stand with PP.
You would think that a gynecologist office would be better than Planned Parenthood but that is definitely wrong. Although some of their equipment like the weight scale is slightly outdated, they really make you feel cared for and answer all of your questions in such a nice and friendly manner. The wait is SO much shorter than a doctors office.
