Another community program to enhance the partnership between the Plano Police and the citizens in an effort to help stop, solve & prevent crime.
The Plano Police Crime Stoppers program works with the North Texas Crime Commission. To be eligible for rewards, the tipster must contact the North Texas Crime Commission first at 877-373-8477, and then you may also call the Plano Police Tip Line at 972-941-2148.
All rewards are paid at the discretion of the North Texas Crime Commission (NTCC)
Eligible Tipsters:
Tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 if the information leads to:
- An arrest of a person with an active felony warrant
or
- Information that leads to a felony arrest and indictment.
Not Eligible Tipsters:
The following persons are not eligible for a Crime Stoppers reward or financial benefit resulting from a reward:
- Any commissioned law enforcement officer and / or members of his / her family
- The crime's perpetrator(s) or co-perpetrator(s)
- The victim and/or his / her family
- The fugitive
- Law enforcement informants funneled into the program
- NTCC Board or Committee Members
- NTCC Employees
- Crime Stoppers Staff
Any information provided to Crime Stoppers after an arrest is made will not qualify for a reward.
