Dr. Arleen Richards, M.D.
Dr. Arleen Richards was born in Jamaica where she attended the prestigious Wolmer’s High School for girls, completing her high school education at John Jay High School in Brooklyn, New York.
After graduating with Honors from the College of Staten Island with a Bachelors Degree in Bio-Chemistry, she attended Stonybrook Medical School in Long Island, New York, where she received her M.D. Degree.
Her residency in Internal Medicine was at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital. Post residency, she worked as an Emergency Room Physician before starting her Practice in Plantation, Florida. She has been and continues to be devoted to the Plantation Community for over 20 years
Dr. Richards has participated in multiple Medical Missions in Haiti and Africa. In 2007, she was honored with the Prestigious Albert Forte Memorial Award for her work with the Mercy Foundation in Kenya, Africa, treating patients in the remote village of Lare, Kenya. Dr. Richards was also named to Top Physicians by Consumers Research Council of America in 2007.
Her Practice remains committed to quality healthcare for all patients, with a focus on Preventative Healthcare and empowering patients to focus on lifestyle changes that enhance their health and quality of life.
