Brought multiple brand items in good condition to sell. They said that they were all out of fashion and below their standards. American Eagle brand barely worn is out of fashion and below standards? What a joke! I would have understood if they said no to some.
Literally an effing scam. Came in with a brand new ARITZIA popular, trendy brand romper with the TAGS STILL ON. Was offered $4 and some change for it. LMAO. Save your time elsewhere and sell to your friends and on Facebook
I have always been a huge fan of this store. All locations Here is my issue. All of the girls that work in this store are size xxs. So when I bring in name brand clothes that still have tags of $50+, never worn, super cute AND in style pieces, and I'm offered nothing....something about it just doesn't add up. I'm young, I know what is in style and what's not. I buy name brand, and usually business casual clothes. I don't think it's okay that the girls in there turn things away, just because they don't think they would wear it. Today for example, I brought it a BEAUTIFUL pair of white cowgirl boots. Size nine. Never worn because they didn't fit my calfs. So I never wore them. And they turned them down. Meanwhile there are a gross pair of vans with stained mud with what looks like astronauts...??and bushed out laces in the men's section. Very trendy. Everything I brought it was worth over 150++ Very disappointed, not sure it's worth the hour drive. I'd rather just donate to goodwill
I personally have loved coming to this Plato’s in the past. In fact, most of my wardrobe in the past few years have either come from here or other second hand stores. However, over the past few months I’ve been shopping here I continue to notice the decline in proper customer service… i.e. rare smiles, negative responses to questions, and some of the employees are just plain rude. This is upsetting to me because I’ve always had a positive experience in this store in the past but not so much anymore!
Depends on who you are and who's there when you come in. If you're a female student presumably white you'll get cash no problem! Good luck everyone else. No one wanted more info on the two girls walking out before I came in, who were bragging about selling them $600 worth of stolen stuff. Meanwhile I'm offered $2.28 for a bargain bin walmart shirt out of my entire bin. Homeless will benefit more out of my clothes than these skeeves.
I really don’t care for this platos closet. The prices are way to high. Usually only a few dollars off buying it new, especially from places like Ross or TJ max. I was a big shopper at the Platos Closet in other cities but not here. Not even worth the drive. They don’t have a lot and what they do have is worn out and over priced. Staff need to be trained on how to spot a good used shoe. 30+ dollars for a pair of shoes that have literally no tread left all because its nike? The brand doesn’t matter if the shoe is completely without tread.

I went here tonight, I usually don’t go into this store very often, this was the first time in year and I won’t be back to this store. I was with my kids and customer service was horrible!! This was an awful experience. My eldest daughter couldn’t find anything she liked to wear; they sold crop tops or halter tops that are inappropriate for a preteen. When we went to the cashier I had a bunch of items for my son. The cashier saw all the stuff I had and she had the nerve to ask me if I needed a bag. Of course I wanted a bag, why wouldn’t I need a bag, what did she expect me to do, carry my items out in my hands with no bag. Lol stupid question, I hope that’s not a policy to ask customers if they need a bag. The cashier did not ask if I had points and when I mentioned it, she smiles and says she asks at the end. The girl not one time spoke to me or even acknowledge my presence. These young ladies in here are rude and horrible at customer service, they need to learn how to speak to people or acknowledge their customers. Not worth spending my money in here! All the positive reviews on here are from employees too!!! That should speak volumes!!

After losing 50lbs I have been needing to replace most of my wardrobe. Even if I had tons of bucks, I decided a while ago that it's important to me to buy second hand as much as possible for environmental reasons. I think Goodwill has some poor business practices you can't try anything on, and can only return for store credit, so I began shopping at Plato's Closet.I don't expect to get an entire 'haul' at one time, but have been pleased with all my purchases. Good going Plato's Closet!
