Nice food options available that were not the typical food available at a theme park.
I love Thanksgiving day food. Though, I am from New England & I'm surprised that they didn't have any seafood. At least fish or shrimp. Though, we bury our lobster, clams, whole potatos & corn cobs on hot coals in the sand.
Probably the best restaurant I've been to so far at Holiday World. The adult plate comes with an entree and two sides, while the kid plate comes with an entree and one side. I opted for the roasted turkey with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, and a side of stuffing. My turkey was the right amount of moist especially for theme park food and the sides were good as well. My wife went with the pulled pork kid plate and she was very complimentary of the flavor and mouth feel of the pork. This will probably be a family favorite restaurant for the forseeable future.
Never again. They have a $10.99 vegetarian meal which is 3 sides plus a roll or cornbread. They were out of cornbread; I had to get a small, cold, bland roll. I asked for mashed potatoes and green beans and applesauce. The potatoes and applesauce were about 1/2 cup each. The green beans were more generous but were so salty I could not eat them. This is a new low in overpriced, terrible food. My friends liked most of their meaty selections but one wanted brisket and they were out of that too. There was incredibly slow and rude service only one line on a Saturday at noon; it seemed to be staffed mostly by teenagers. If you are a vegetarian - just don't go here!
Misleading on the menu. Only meat offered was turkey so I was stuck eating a vegetarian plate. Mac n Cheese was dry The guy put green beans on the plate when I asked for mashed potatoes. If I had known that turkey was the only thing when menu gives 4 meat options would've chose somewhere else. Would've left if others hadn't already started plates before we knew turkey was the only option.
Not so great this year. Chicken was burnt almost beyond edibility. Otherwise, the sides potatoes, corn, and roll were fantastic. Difficult to social distance on my visit, both in the ordering line and at the tables. The "closed" tables were being used due to the fact that the chairs were still present in their standard positions, only change was a small sign that said "reserved for mayflower passengers". The sign works thematically, but does not convey the overall message very well.
Great food at a good price for inside the amusement park food. Healthy options also available.
Editing my old, previous 5 star review. Food was all watery and TV-dinner-esque. Traditionally our favorite restaurant at the park, but now we won't be back.
Thursday we tried at 6:15 pm and it was closed. Today they were out of pulled pork for the day at 5:30. We asked if we came back later would there be some and were told no. Overall not impressed.
This place is awesome! Great food and big area with plenty of seating! I definitely make a point to eat here when I go to Holiday World!
