Poinsettia Elementary is an award-winning school serving TK-5th grades within the Carlsbad Unified School District.
Poinsettia Elementary is a transitional kindergarten through fifth grade public school that serves the southern inland population of the Carlsbad Unified School District. The school opened in 2007 and has approximately 550 students with 30 teachers and support staff combined. Our experienced, fully-credentialed teachers are highly regarded and have high standards for their students. We have embraced the newly adapted Common Core State Standards for our core academic subjects. In addition, our school is proud to offer a wide variety of weekly enrichment programs and resources including - music, visual arts, physical education, computer lab, library, student clubs and more. Since our opening, we have quickly become an important part of the local community. Our parents are very involved in the classroom and through the PTA. Together we have many proud accomplishments!
