The Point Park Police Department is an accredited agency and is the principal law enforcement agency serving the University. The Department has both sworn police officers and non-sworn public safety officers, who serve as dispatchers. Police officers respond to criminal, security, fire, and EMS emergencies. All Point Park University police officers are sworn and certified under the Municipal Police Officers' Training Academy (ACT120). All have Pennsylvania certification in CPR, AED, and first aid, with some officers certified at higher levels of medical training.
The Police Department is at work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide a safe, secure living and learning environment for the University community. Police officers are on duty 365 days a year and provide immediate response to emergencies on campus.
