A wonderful organization keeping history Pomona Valley CA alive. My wife is a busy Realtor but always finds time to volunteer at some of there Historic sites. I am a lifetime member. Fred Van Allen is the number one Realtor in Lincoln Park Historic District and Pomona CA. He is also in the top 5% of Realtors in SoCal. "I love helping local businesses!"
I loved learning some of Pomona's history looking forward to more knowledge
Never rent out this place for any event. This is the worst place to hold any gathering. We rented it out for a big special event and regret ever renting it out. The venue is beautiful and has vintage appearance to it. The venue even promised AC in the building. The building doesn't have any AC. On the day off the event all of my guests and I were dying of heat in the building. It was very uncomfortable. Also the people who are in charge of the museum did not help the situation. The two ladies who run the museum are not the greatest. They are hard to work with. On the day of the event the lady who supervises kept disappearing when we needed her. Also the venue has electrical problems. The lights kept going out as well. Please don't ever rent out this location.
Can't give them no stars, a family member rented the hall for a 15th birthday. Where do I start place is nice but the people they hire to cater or run the place are unprofessional. They just come take your glasses where you are still drinking without offering any plastic cup. The biggest issue I had was the AC, you pay for a service to expect the AC to work or at the very least be a nice ambience inside. Outside was 98 with a breeze we had to open all the windows up. Whom ever was in charge showed up pretty much to close the place. I was considering renting the place but not with these people. Second party I attend from the same venue people same issue with the AC. I personally wouldn't use their venues for any parties on my side.
The Historical Society of Pomona is a treasure. The Museum holds so many wonderful items from the Pomona past. It is a must see. Old Pomona newspapers from many, many years ago; very old books, old clothes, items from Pomona High School years ago, and on and on. We spent a few hours touring the wonderful facility that is cared for by Mickey and Jim Gallivan and many volunteers. Great Job. I was raised in Pomona and I am so proud of what YOU have saved and displayed. Susie Russell-Wagner, PHS 1961
Such cool specific history
Great place to learn about Pomona history! Also they do book parties but the person renting is responsible for the catering and music.
Pomona's own venue for small events, Graduations, parties. Went to a Memorial Service, has full kitchen.
There are a lot of very interesting pieces of Pomona history here.
