Ponderosa High School, which opened in 1963, is a member of the El Dorado Union High School District in El Dorado County, California, United States. It is located on Ponderosa Road, Shingle Springs, a semi-rural location.In the 2005–06 school year, there were 2,061 students enrolled. Ponderosa's mascot is the Bruin. The principal of Ponderosa is Lisa H.
