So far the staff in the front office, and even the maintenance staff, has been amazing. I had a leak in my kitchen sink when I moved in and they fixed it immediately. So far, I have loved every bit of the experience of becoming a resident at Ponderosa Park!

Avoid living here at all cost. There are way better and cheaper apartments in Flagstaff. This apartment complex will charge you for literally any THING, even the air you breathe if they can lol. They will charge more than normal before you move in and when moving out, if you forget to give them notice they will try to take an extra month even when you are no longer living there and an extra $100 for carpet cleaning out of your security deposit knowing that they don’t actually clean the carpet. Who are they fooling. They are SCAMMERS.  Their gym has very old dysfunctional equipments and the laundry room is never operational. They charge so much per month for such small apartments. The walls are so thin you can literally hear your neighbors when they are talking or watching TV. No privacy whatsoever.  Office manager is so unprofessional and rude. She is not reasonable at all and will not communicate anything to you. When you ask her why they are taking your money, she struggles to explain why because she knows they are stealing your money and is OK with that. They will charge for whatever excuse they can find. Insanely expensive. Please avoid such place and their unprofessional office.

Pro's: Nice staff, helpful, conversational, pleasant, easy going most of the time, free snacks in the main room, heated apartments for the cold winter, high ceilings on the top floor which makes the space look a lot bigger, next to a park, close to a beautiful wooded area to take the dogs, lots of small animals, elk near by in the woods, and wild flowers, a near by creek when it rains, and within walking distance to a StarBucks if you walk through the trail, etc.  Con's: no air conditioning although it's easy to install an after market Toshiba AC from Home Depot, gets hot on the top floor in the summer which triggered me to buy several fans and an AC which work well  FYI, it's only really hot 1.5 mo's out of the year ,  management are sticklers for unofficial deck furniture on the deck or things like expired license plate tags, having clothes moved from the dryer and placed on the counter by unknown strangers after only 5 to 10 min was different.  Overall, it is what you make it. The apartment is solid, the appliances work, the handyman is solid, etc. It's in a safe neighborhood, great for kids w/ several schools, hospital, gas station and grocery store near by.

Barely maintained, nothing has been updated in at least 20 years. No AC, laundry room is ALWAYS down, frequent enough inspections but in years of living here, only the air filters have ever been changed. Cabinets fall apart very easily, bathtub ruined by years of limescale and hard water. The closet has a strong breeze coming through the ceiling which has been just GREAT in Flagstaff winters. Dont rent here.

The barking dog in 225C or 226c is constant problem and nothing has been done. It's a huge problem daily.  Something needs to be done. The quality of life has declined here at Ponderosa Park Apartments.

This old apartment complex is not worth the money they are charging. There are luxury apartments in flagstaff that charge less in rent than here. The walls and roof are so thin you can here full-on conversations and every footstep from the upstairs neighbors. The dishwasher floods on a monthly basis and when it does it comes back up the sink too. The gym on site is missing the weight stack pins so you can’t use the weight machines at all. Additionally, the laundry facility is never operational. There is always at least one washer that is broken and most of the time there is only one functional dryer. When the dryers do work, it takes 2-3 cycles before the clothes are actually dry.

Normally I do not write reviews but I felt compelled.  I would give a lower review if I could. We applied on a Friday evening and paid our $400 fee for the application. I responded to the email I received the following Monday following business day to cancel our application. When I had not received my refund for a couple weeks I called them. They told me I only have 24hrs to cancel and after that they would not refund ANY of the money. Wish I had known. This was not disclosed when I contacted them so we lost $400 for filling out paperwork.  Ponderosa responded to my review and asked to give them a call to possibly resolve the situation.  After a few attempts I was able to speak to someone.  No changes made. I still lost $400 to fill out the application

Of course there are some things  I wish were better: laundry in the apartment or at least more washers and dryers, cheaper rent don't we all want that, and to never have upstairs neighbors. With that said there is so much that I love about these apartments. The management staff is absolutely wonderful. We had a few problems that they fixed right away and always very pleasant. I love going over there just to say hi. They like to do special events at the office to make the residence feel special. I love the apartments are so close to the park right across the street!. The apartments have very spacious bedrooms, closets and bathroom. The living room is a decent size and so is the kitchen. Over all a great place to live

We are fairly new tenants here at Ponderosa Park Apartments and couldn't be happier. Cheryl, the apartment manager, is very helpful with whatever we need and always has a smile on her face. Kip, the maintenance guy, is very responsive to any service requests and has been amazing with the snow removal during the latest snow storm and all snowfalls. He always makes sure salt is on the ground and steps, so no one slips on ice. Thank you both for making our home comfortable.

Ponderosa Parkway Apartments lied multiple times to good friends of mine in regards to the safety and overall living conditions of their apartment. My friends were told that nothing was wrong, meanwhile they were continuing to get sick and not getting better. It took months after something was obviously wrong for them to speak up...various inspections, terrible smells, and constant sickness... only for them to lie time and time again. No one else should have to suffer, please don’t move here. Raw sewage flooded multiple entire apartments from underneath, eventually leaking through the floor and faucets as well.
