pools by Design did an amazing job on our pool. Once the pool was completed there were a couple thing that didn’t work like I expected. Well true to their word they want to keep the customer happy. They came and fixed it and now me and the wife are 100% happy. Thank you. Can’t say enough about the operations team. I think Max the manger, Tracy and I forget the other guys name. They made my experience great.

We ultimately decided to go with Pools By Design because of the design they gave us and a lot of residents have the PBD sign in their yard who either have work completed or are having work done. Lack of communication is definitely their weakest link. I too received a nice intro call and was informed that I'd receive a call every Friday with updates, that happened once and never again. I would have to make phone calls there and wait for a return call to get answers. We were assured the pool would be completed at the time the house build was complete 17 months, we closed on our house and the pool was empty. We had many instances of the pool equipment not working properly. O rings leaking, valves left open or closed that should have been closed or open, causing the equipment to run and sound like it was going to explode! The pebble tek shows discoloration dark and light variations. I was told that the pool needed to be drained, and acid washed, that was at the beginning of August...never saw anyone come by to do this or received a call that it had been scheduled, nothing. That finally got done and the pool looks great. However the spa didn't get drained at the same time the pool was drained so we still are waiting on that to be drained and acid washed. Ultimately, work was ok, but I feel like better communication could have made this experience a better one

Reached out to get the design for a new pool started and got a response from Ashlynd who spelt my name wrong upon first email on August 6th. She said she would stop by our new construction home to make measurements and reach back out to schedule a design appointment, but I have yet to hear from her almost 2 and a half weeks later. In that time another company made a swift appointment with us and even completed their design. She did not inquire about time frame or anything much for that matter so I don't believe its because she thought I was not in a hurry as the owner pointed out in another review by another reviewer who was ghosted. Perhaps they really are busy, in which case, Pools by Design should be more forthcoming with realistic time expectations. UPDATE 9/17/2022 After posting my negative review, Ashlynd reached out to me via phone to apologize and wanted to make things right. She received my criticisms and frustrations with a good attitude. She did end up sending me the designs that she had created and continued to follow up with us while we made our decision. While her designs were wonderful, we ultimately decided to go another direction but appreciated that she reached out via phone and not email.

We have had hiccups during install and after but with diligence and hard work the crew here worked above and beyond to get us happy. I made multiple changes to the design and they never once said I can't. They worked with us. The issues post install were minimal but worked on without issues. The warranty department worked with me in every step of the way if we needed anything. The project manager was patient with us and had to show us a few times over until we understood what to do to maintain a healthy and beautiful pool! I get compliments from guest how beautiful our yard looks. Thanks to pools by design. Check them out if you want to beautify and enjoy your yard!

We recently had this firm install a spa/free form pool for us and they did an excellent job. Maryanne was our designer and she worked with us during the bidding, selection and design process. She offered great solutions that really make the pool and spa a great addition to our home. We were not aware of all the various options and Maryanne worked with us to choose the best fit. I would highly recommend your working with Maryanne. Our project manager is no longer with this firm, but he did a nice job also. We wanted the pool to be ready for out of town guests and the team worked hard to get it completed. They then came back and completed the landscaping and project cleanup to our satisfaction. Ken, the owner of the company became involved after the project manager left and he worked to ensure the project met our expectations. Scott also did a great job explaining the features of the automation systems, setting up the pool and working to correct small issues we had post completion. They adjusted the keep fill system, provided support for my questions on the automation system and did an outstanding job staying on schedule and meeting our needs. We had five small change orders to the project and Maryanne and the team did a great job keeping the billing accurate. We would highly recommend your considering this team of professional pool builders.

They communicate and have been honest so far. They are professional and reasonable. Granted my pool isn’t even started yet, but they have communicated when it will be started and the timeframe. If that changes, then I’ll come back and change it, but I know other people that have used this company and I doubt that will change. However, whatever the outcome, I will come and change my review regardless. I know a few other pool companies deserve negative reviews just by talking to them.

We have had such a wonderful experience with this company. My contact Nick Fiello was the best guide from the start to the finish. They did every thing I expected and went the extra yard to make sure we were satisfied. Built the beautiful pool we have within a month. Tracy, who supervised all was very informative. Their follow up was amazing. We recommend that any one who is getting a pool built talk to Nick also. His honest & integrity go far beyond expectations. We waited six months to post this review.

We just finished our pool! We couldn't be happier with the outcome! They are so amazing to work with! We worked with Maryanne and Mike mostly, but they are all so professional. They took the time to answer a lot of our questions and concerns. We stayed in our budget and got an amazing product! Thank you Pools by Design! We are going to really enjoy our third summer in Tucson! I almost want to do it all over again everyone was so nice! My husband would kill me if I put ANOTHER pool in! They hit the mark time after time, we couldn't believe they quoted us 6 weeks to have It done and it is done in 5! I can't thank you enough!

From start to finish we were kept informed of the progress and knew exactly when each step would be completed. We were impressed with how quickly our pool was installed, especially with us living in a rural area. Pools by Design offered the most affordable price and installed a beautiful pool that we will enjoy for many years to come!
