Everything was pretty good. Mac and cheese was a bit salty, i'm sure it's not always that way maybe just had a heavy handed cook the day I ordered. Fries was good, just a bit soggy. & The rib tips were magnificent, almost forgot to dip em in the BBQ sauce I requested. If you can't take the heat, I wouldn't recommend the spicy BBQ sauce. The honey bourbon is pretty good, not spicy at all. Prices are a bit steep, but for the flavor it's worth it.
I used to go to this location back when it was the Pit BBQ. I stuck around after it became Pop's and would stop in for some burnt ends now and then. After a while, I just kind of stopped going in. After a few years away, I decided to go in today for lunch, and I was very impressed. I got a half rack of ribs and some fries. The ribs are seriously the best I've had in the IC area. The fries were tasty and well seasoned, and the spicy BBQ sauce was so good. The daily specials all sound great, the place has fun vibes that I wasn't really getting when I used to come in, and the BBQ is perfect. I'll definitely be a regular again after today. Edit: Don't sleep on those brisket poppers. They're very tasty.
We ordered Pop’s BBQ for an office lunch for 15 people and it was easily the tastiest lunch our office has had. Ordering was super easy, prices were very reasonable, and everything was so well organized and labeled nicely. Highly highly recommend the mac and cheese and the cornbread as sides!! Very friendly staff when I went and picked up the order. Will definitely return soon! Parking: Smaller parking lot but street parking available nearby.
I had Pop's today for the first time via a delivery service. Our order included a pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich, rib tips, cornbread, and Pit beans. The pulled pork and Pit beans were my favorite, but everything was delicious!Food: 5/5
I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese. First off, for the price 12 for the sandwich 5 for the mac absolute rip off on portion size. Barely any meat. The chicken was okay. Lacked seasoning and was extremely dry. The mac was super good but, again, barely any portion. Super small amount for $5… not impressed overall. The sandwich was mediocre at best. Loved the sauce tho!
had the BBQ Cuban with Carolina mustard and the mac n cheese. delicious!! my friend had a half rack of ribs. so tender they fell off the bone! with honey bourbon BBQ waitress was very attentive and helpful. prices are reasonable. this place is probably packed during the day!!Food: 5/5
The pork tacos were amazing and hubby loved his brisket sandwich. I had french fries and he had sweet potato fries, both really good. Don't let his little hole in the wall place fool you. It's huge on flavor! They have a couple of different bbq sauces for purchase and I will be stocking up next visit. Was our first experience and we'll definitely be going back! EXCELLENT food and service.
Very good BBQ. I had the burnt ends Mac and cheese. I'd probably get the brisket next time because it was a bit rich with the burnt ends. Good flavour to the meat, and very well smoked. I had some of the blackberry habanero sauce on it too. Delicious sauce! Our table of the shared the fried brussel sprouts too, and those were delicious. Definitely would go back when in town!
Bob's BBQ is a really nice restaurant, the gentleman that works here even open the door for us. The price of the food was a little pricey for me. Two sandwiches one fry and two soda drinks was $30. The restaurant was clean and seem to have a happy atmosphere. If it wasn't for the little expensive price I would have gave it five stars.
Fantastic Food! The Burnt Ends and Cornbread were spot in. Tender, good smoke and seasoning. No sauce needed, but the sauce was great too. Great customer service and quick, stopped by on a weekday lunch time and was in and out in 30 min. Worth the little detour off if I-80. Also worth noting it’s local street parking so large trucks and anything with a trailer would be challenging to park.
