They cut their liquor you can have 3-4 drinks/shots and feel hardly anything, the bartenders need to be properly trained on how to make simple cocktails, you get tired of ordering jack and cokes .. you can tell they get the same crowd every night so I guess no one cares. But I won’t be back, awful excuse for a bar. THEY’RE DEFINITELY CUTTING THE ALCOHOL STAY AWAY.

Stopped in late to see/hear Harry Strawberry band. Cool little joint. Hadn't been in awhile.Service: 5/5

Wonderful fun. Great crowd! Tending bar is the little, but MIGHTY, Rachel!! The band is my favorite, Harry Strawberry! The band plays at Poppy's every Tuesday night-first set starts around 7 or so. Come join us.

So many years I have been coming to Poppy's Sports Bar & Grill. The atmosphere, crowd, bartenders, Friday night karaoke, and so much more has been a 5-star rating! Why I give this review a 3-star is due to mysterious price fluctuation and skepticism upon my recent visit on 8/27/2021. I'm all about helping our local businesses but don't overcharge me as a customer upon every visit. Also, I experienced a dine-n-dash at Poppy's this evening and makes me wonder why this happened. The prices seem to have increased dramatically upon every visit I make, and I'm not sure why the rapid increase in cost. I purchase 3 - 16oz Bud Light drafts and recently charged me $6 a glass. Bud Light is not a craft beer, either! These are considered small beers, not large see receipt. I always run a tab for myself and get the disappointing surprise when I ask to cash out and receive the check this evening. I questioned my bartender about the charges and just receive a shoulder shrug and some words but difficult to hear over the loud music. It's a shame a long time reputable west side establishment charges whatever they feel like but please keep competitive with domestic beer pricing. I always tip my bartenders very generously, too, but could not give a more generous amount this evening due to Poppy's mysterious charges for a small Bud Light draft beer. I can afford paying whatever, and I believe and try giving "cash" tips due to merchant charges and employees receiving credit card tips at a later time. Pay attention to your tabs everyone!

Been there ONE time and that’s all it takes. What at great establishment to have wonderful time. Rachel is an amazing bartender and I had SUCH A GREAT TIME. Everyone there, patrons included, were really friendly. TEN STARSSSSS

Dirty looking and outdated. Need to advertise drink specials etc. Has a nice kitchen but haven't offered food in 5 years or more. Could be bringing a lot of money if did have a menu bc people are having it delivered or going next door and bringing it in. Update and make more customer friendly =$$$

Karaoke on Fridays is awesome! Get a nice mix of singers. It gets busy though, and there are only 2 bartenders, so it can take a bit to get a drink once things are hopping. Otherwise, it's a fun place to go and sing your heart out!

No live music, and they still charge $4.00 for a bottle of beer. Who can afford that these days. Just a bit ridiculous, not even a pool table. Maybe the bar maid is a thief.

Great, friendly neighborhood bar with a fun and diverse karaoke scene.

Came in a 11:30 new to area. Bar tender refused service, maid claims “out if jameson”. Out of “jack”. “LAST CALL” at 12:00 , the regulars didnt have to leave… While regulars drank and bartender small brunette who isnt much if a human being at all chit chatted with regulars, and served us well whiskey. I cant describe how i fee about this person on here or how i feel about poppys refusing service to me and my friends, she cheated herself out of a great tip prolly just to hit the dab pen or do some lines with the regulars. Not Serving customers with millions in the bank is a terrible way to run a business. Went to JTAPS and had a great time left a great tip.. DONT GO TO POOPYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
