This place came highly recommended by a couple of people at work. Having just moved here, my husband and I tried it out for dinner tonight. I have to say, probably the worst burger I’ve had, not to mention it was charred. I would have much preferred a cheap burger from McDonald’s at half the price. Also, the chocolate cake claims to be one of their most popular items. I’ve had better baked goods from gas stations. Absolutely would not recommend!
Good food, had a double burger and my brother had a hotdog. Buut he was to hungry and ate it quick lol. But he assures me it was excellent. The only issue i had was that my burger had mayo and the mayo looked like they just plopped it on the bun. But overall it was good food.
I’m giving a 2 star to be nice. This was probably one of the worst chili cheese dogs I’ve ever had. It was cold and crunchy? Like what am I crunching on? And they just basically slapped a piece of cheese on it and threw a little chili on top. It wasn’t melted or anything. I wish I had ordered something different. Totally unsatisfied.
Food was made perfectly and restaurant was busy but still clean with plenty of available seating.Food: 5/5
Ordered something different than the norm, absolutely loved the flavors and old school spices, stopped in during a busy lunch rush. Ordering was a bit long with the cashier, we purchased the 50$ gift card and received an additional 10$ card to use on our next visit.. Food took around 15 min with the amount of patrons and drive thru wrapping around the parking lot. Italian beef was great, double dipped for flavor, melted cheese on top for the ultimate experience. Chessburger was also well cooked with the proper toppings.. Garden dog was good as it contained the Chicago style toppings. Tamale with chili was unexpectedly delicious, hearty portions with onions and cheese. Fries had the right amount of crunch and salt. Onion rings were a bit overcooked, made them difficult to eat at times only thing we did not finish, overall had a great experience, looking forward to trying additional items off the menu.. Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from. Kid-friendliness: Yes to an extent. Parking: Depending on the time, parking is limited with the lunch and dinner rush, best to go off hours for ample parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Dietary restrictions: Food made to order..
If I had one complaint it would be this place is too darn busy, especially the drive thru, forget it. Other than that, what’s not to like about this place. The burger are fantastic never mind the hot dogs, best in the country! I used to love their garbage salad, would get one almost every day. When they stopped making them, I stopped going. I was disappointed to say the least. The cakes are great, so are the shakes. Salads are all good as well but I no longer eat them after they discontinued the garbage salad. I don’t eat beef sandwiches but I’ve heard these are great too. Fries are decent. This location is very clean as are the washrooms. Great staff, nothing but good things coming here.
Food was good. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. This is a busy location thus it took quite a bit of time to get our food. We would go back when we visit the area again.
They still got it even though they are not the same owners. The beef is still king. The lemon cake is to die for. Love portillosFood: 5/5
I can't vouch for every location, but based on our last few experiences at our local Portillos, I don't think we will go back there. They were already pricy and have gotten even more so. It was $75 for lunch for a family of four for basic menu items. It took 25 minutes to get our food and there was very little food for the price. The container my wife's chopped salad came in was less than half full. I usually get a combo and there seems.s to be less and less beef on it every time. Very disappointing after coming to Portillos most of my life.
Thirs time theyve filled a "Large Fry" less than half way. What the hell is going on, this can't be how it's supposed to be but 3 times now?
