Open at The Westport Country Playhouse! Thats right we moved to the old Dressing Room of Late Paul Newman ~ so excited to occupy this special spot!
Positano was born on Post Road in Westport, CT, in 1997. From there, Chef/owner, Giuseppe Scarpati, moved to his current waterfront location on Hillspoint Road. Chef Scarpati began his culinary training in his home country of Italy where he studied at the Villa Santa Maria in Abruzzi, Italy. From there he came to the United States and brought his culinary knowledge with him to the Rainbow Room in NYC as the Executive Chef in 1977.And 1992 Giuseppe moved to Connecticut and became the part owner at Bourbon Street Cafe in Stamford. It was not until 1997 that Chef Scarpati decided to open up his own establishment, which is Positano. And now he invites you to Positano for fine Italian dining which includes traditional but modern dishes ranging from all parts of Italy. Specialties are changed daily, which include a vast variety of Fresh fish, Homemade pasta, Meats (Veal, Black Angus Steak, Loin of Veal Chop, Ossubuco, Chicken, Lamb, Sausage). Enjoy your meal with a glass of white or red wine from either our selection of house wines by the glass or by the bottle.
