Maria helped me at the counter, she was very nice and helpful. Some of the mailmen however are lazy pathetic excuses for delivery people. They refuse to deliver a package on the 3rd floor so they take it back to the post office and make you pick it up. How absurd is that, if you are so lazy you can't walk a package up stairs to their door like you're supposed to, you need to find another job. Ive delivered much bigger heavier things up much larger buildings, its part of the delivery job. Do better or go work at McDonald's lazy wuss!
Our neighborhood's mail lady refuses to deliver my neighbors and I mail frequently. Today she slowed down stared at me as I was getting in my car and drove off without delivering our mail. Then marked my package as "unknown addressee". She also picked up our cat, knocked on our door and told my 14yr old autistic son that since she's not wearing a collar she's technically a stray and she's going to adopt her. Now my son's terrified the mail lady is going to steal our cat. Our cat is microchipped but she rips off collars. UPDATE: Our mail carrier showed up at our house at almost 10pm in her personal vehicle while still in uniform. My neighbor was outside with her dog and saw her trying to give my cat more treats after she gave her half a damn bag of treats earlier in the day while she was on duty. Thankfully my neighbor confronted her and asked what she was doing. This is unprofessional as hell!!! I am strongly considering getting a restraining order.
Use FedEx or UPS! USPS does Not care about your package, the Fragile stickers, or the $70 charge for 2-3 day delivery that you will never see again. My package was beat to hell we found this out after I called about the package going missing for 6 days after dropping it off at the post office. It had gifts for my mom and little sister who live thousands of miles away. I work 55+ hours a week and it took a serious amount of effort to collect BIRTHDAY gifts, packing materials to PROTECT and PAD it all, and then find the time to make it to the post office during business hours. My mom has to drive an HOUR to Indianapolis to pick up the remainder of the contents that may also be broken. And now I am the one who has to find time to file a claim and get my money back that I requested during my original phone call? Wow.
If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. I implore no one go to this location. Arrived at 9:20 as mandatory, 10 minutes prior to appointment today. The lady scheduled to do passport appointments was 5 minutes late and hurried me in, not even saying hello... I get that it's early, but there was no warmth or courtesy. I was asked a few questions and needed to get pictures done, so that was accomplished first. I got my paperwork sorted - DS-11, DS-64, old passports, money orders, original birth certificate, and copies of each. Immediately the passport clerk told me that it wasn't valid, so I explained that yes, due to the fact that my old passport was lost I was going to use my old passport for picture identification purposes. She rolls her eyes and tells me I can't do that. Frankly, I find this ridiculous. I've had four passports in my entire life spanning from my childhood and I've never had any issues using my old EXPIRED passport as an "ID that readily identifies [you]". Here's a direct quote from the US Government website: "You must present one of the following identification documents IDs to the acceptance agent. The ID must readily identify you. Valid or expired, undamaged U.S. passport book or passport card" The lady assured me that it can't be done and that I have to have a driver's license I don't have one or a state ID I also don't have one because surprise, getting a passport needs less forms of IDs that I already have. I requested I speak to a supervisor, at which point she rolls her eyes at me again. The supervisor comes in and repeats the same thing, talking to me as if I'm some dumb child that had the misfortune of crawling into their USPS location by chance and not by appointment that I scheduled weeks ago. They proceed to gang up on me, and the lady threatens that she won't sign off on my DS-11 forms and cause my application to be automatically denied. She assures that it's because "she doesn't want me to lose money" and how "she's been doing this for 27 years and have never taken an expired US passport". I suppose if she wants to continue to deny passport applications despite the text being plain enough on the actual government's website, I suppose that's her prerogative. Needless to say, I was humiliated and felt like my time was wasted because she couldn't spare a sliver of compassion for my situation. In the end, I left without even my pictures which I tried to get but couldn't even spare that without some flippant, unnecessary attitude about how they're "valid for only 6 months". I know USPS employees have little to no disciplinary actions taken upon them even when they're blatantly wrong, but I would assume to be government employee you should abide by the rules the government set forth for passport renewals - not just whatever is most convenient for the clerk. I filed a complaint anyway directly through USPS. Please, I beg anyone reading this to not go here. Go a little further and schedule your appointments elsewhere. It's not worth the grief and embarrassment.
Giao at the passport desk has you literally open up the survey page in front of her and makes you leave her a good review. This is a cursed place where the employees confuse customers with poorly-explained policies, and the customers are rude to employees in return, so the employees are even more dismissive of the next customers. A vicious cycle.
I never received my package that cost me $60 even though tracking stated the package was delivered. I followed up with USPS and they opened a case. My case was closed a day later stating that gps shows the package was delivered and had a time stamp. I have ring video of that time stamp showing no mail was delivered at that time, but instead my house was skipped a couple minutes earlier. Never received my package due to USPS and USPS won't take ownership. Never thought I'd have to worry about USPS not delivering my mail and it seems to be the theme at this location.
Every time I come to this location, all staff are just rude and unhelpful. Came in for assistance today in scheduling appointment as nothing was available on website since June and got turned away by staff Giao stating "I don't have time to help you". Every single question I asked, she responded "I don't have time to help everyone" and walked away. Asked for a supervisor but was given a fake phone number for complaint. I cannot believe that in 21 century a post office that my tax money pays would treat their customers worse then people in prison. This behavior is just plain cruel.
As the previous 2 most recent reviews stated- I had a package supposedly delivered 2 weeks ago. USPS admitted they delivered it to the wrong address. They claimed they would follow up with me. I’ve made multiple attempts to contact and nobody will respond to me. I’m pretty sure mail theft is ILLEGAL and I’m appalled that this location told me to ASK FOR MY PACKAGE BACK from the address they admitted to delivering to. Clearly the person enjoyed the contents of my package. I am going to escalate this and I guess make a police report for mail theft with the address provided so I can hopefully get someone to do their job and call me back. I’ve never experienced such terrible service from a federal company. This is genuinely appalling at this point.
Not happy with how service is handled at this location. My package was delivered to the wrong address and when calling the post office to get my package back , I was told they couldn’t do anything about it. They gave me the run around telling me they would call me back and contact the resident and when doing so two weeks later , the manager stated the delivery wasn’t at that address anymore . How can you mishandle my package twice to a wrong address and not have the mail carrier responsible or anyone.
Business owners, do not leave your packages at this location. It's been a prime location for workers stealing packages. I've reported it to the attorney general to have it looked into. I tried getting helped with my stolen package that was last scanned in this location in multiple ways - the manager of this location wouldn't even give me 2 minutes of her time to get helped. Again, do not ship out of this location, it's a prime location for workers to steal your packages. I'm on package 3 in the last 2 years, this package I got stolen at this location was 50k.
