Believe it or not, I had a great experience here. I'm basing this review on my own experience and not that of previous reviews. I'm pleasantly surprised and appreciative. I mailed out two packages without any issues. There wasn't much of a wait, just a few minutes waiting on about three people in line. Check Google Maps for hints on peak or slow business hours. Sure was helpful to have that shelf available for heavy packages while I waited my turn. Postal employees were prompt, friendly, and professional. Receipts show your tracking number to verify your packages arrive on time.
I can call all day long and they never answer the phone at this branch. The tracking number shows it arrived at the Gonzales post office 4 days ago and it is still not here. The tracking says it is waiting to deliver a different way????
Usually mail gets delivered timely. Our carrier is always courteous and professional. Mail is undelivered for two days now. Reason given when checking tracking is "No Access". Post office rep says post master canceled delivery due to darkness. I understand that mail volume has certainly increased and this may be the case on the first day, but why not have carriers start the next day where they left the route the day previous. It seems like this would result in only a one day delay for mail customers instead of the several days of undelivered mail that are now being experienced for customers at the end of a carrier's route. During these times of staying home and social distancing, people are relying on the mail service for delivery of medical necessities, time sensitive documents, and important business correspondence. The USPS must be sensitive to this and employ post masters who are competent enough to manage their post offices. It is important that they remain aware that their customers are relying much more now on mail delivery than they ever have in the past.
For some reason the post office will not actually walk up to my door and deliver my certified letter. Too lazy I guess. I'm home all the time so there is no excuse. I guess I should be thankful when I get my mail at 7 pm being sarcastic of course. Need to hire better people that will work.
They are slow to update the tracking system and it has become very confusing as to when mail packages will be delivered.
I mailed my granddaughters some gift cards and other items in a small flat rate priority box on 12/24/2020, it showed to be delivered on 12/28/2020. My daughter never received it. She called the Gonzales PO to make a complaint, was told by a supervisor it wasn’t their fault it was misdelivered! I, myself called Gonzales PO on 1/7/2021, spoke to someone who remembered talking to my daughter and more or less said again it wasn’t their fault it got misdelivered. The postal worker then told me I could cancel the gift cards, anyone ought to know, you can not cancel gift cards. I filed a complaint with the Postal Service and received an email back saying the Postal Inspectors would investigate automated email after a complaint. LO & BEHOLD, the package was ACTUALLY delivered today 1/8/2021! This is after the lady I talked to says the carrier remembers delivering the package on 12/28/2020, but now it shows up....10 days later!!!! HHHHHMMMMMM
Absolutely horrendous. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Constantly having to pick up our packages due to "an incorrect address" when the previous owner of the house had no problems for 13 years at that address. No other delivery service has trouble finding our address. I've called 7 times today and the call was never answered. Now, they have disconnected the phone number or taken it off the hook. Looks like I'll be making another trip up there after work to get a package I paid to be delivered to our house.
Our family was home all day on Friday and it was because we had a very important document being shipped. Once again, they refuse to get out of their car we live in a brand new subdivision, nice and safe, paved and clean and just throw a pink slip in the box! Supposed to be redelivered.. 3 days later, nothing! So it's off to search for a package I paid good money for to be delivered. If I don't go retrieve it though, they'll just send it back and take more money from my pockets and add more frustration and delay. 3rd time dealing with this... it's really getting old! How are you guys even running?!? In all my years living in AR 20 + we had not one mail issue. Move here and in 1 year we are running out of fingers and toes to count on :[ come on, guys..
We have the worse mail driver ever. The older lady has with held our mail numerous times, has hit my dogs and if she delivers my packages she throws them under my carport. My dogs are indoor dogs only let out under supervision. She hit our dog while my wife was trying to get our dog. And when the lady gets mad she holds your mail. So reporting her only makes things worse. The longest she has with held our mail is 3 weeks.
Never had problems before but very recently during the holidays, and currently, workers must be overwhelmed with their workload or something because they have gotten mail mixed up in the wrong boxes and even have gone as far as just chucking mail EVERYWHERE. We LITERALLY have mail in our ditch because drivers just don't care apparently. Also, we have cameras on our house, I was supposed to have some very important confidential documents delivered directly to my door, NO ONE pulled up, no one knocked on our door, but inside our mail box was the very pink "Sorry we missed you, please retrieve your mail from the post office" tear away receipt...really?? Absolutely ridiculous.
