I love our stay in this apartment for more than 6months now. The management is prompt and sends out regular emails about the maintenance work or other updates about the building. Also they had fun events like free breakfast and today, was the highlight. It was free ice cream for national ice cream day. Also, when people were vacating we got a lot of free books which people left for the tenants. Overall l loved the experience of staying as a tenant in this apartment as we didn’t have much maintenance issues or water issues as compared to the rest of the buildings around. Would definitely recommend the rooftop for the inhabitants also.
I lived on this property for about nine months, and I loved it. I will explain the pros and cons of this place. Pros: 1. Location: near University, Federal agencies, park, and White House. 2. Safety; due to the location, it is a super safe community. 3. Management; Super fast and friendly. 4. FOB system. 5. Free printing in the basement. 6. Not perfect, but it has a Luxerone safety package delivery system. 7. Maintenance; kind and fast. 8. Sanitation; So clean; the management and tenants are putting extra effort into keeping this place clean as possible. Cons: 1. Homeless problems nearby. 2. Frequently have to deal with noise from protesters due to the location being close to the Whitehouse. Overall. I loved my experience there. P.S. Biky is a fantastic staff!!!
I have actually lived in Potomac Park since February of 2001! My boyfriend and I started living together two years ago, and wanted a bigger space. But I never wanted to give up the location and picture postcard view of the Capitol, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial and Tidal Basin, including the Cherry Blossoms when in bloom! Finally a neighboring apartment--twice as big with the same view came available. In addition to it's postcard eastern-facing view, it also has a western sunset view from the bedroom! We are very happy in our new place! There are other tenants who have been here longer than me. We all know the secret of this location---it's super safe lots of federal buildings with round the clock security, quiet concrete walls & convenient. Located in the the center of so much--walkable to Georgetown, Dupont Circle, Downtown offices, the White House, the museums, the Kennedy Center, monuments on the National Mall and more! During quarantine, we never tire of all the beautiful places nearby that we can walk to. It's also a great place for visitors from out of town! While it's an older building without the frills, maintenance always keeps it very clean and in order, and we have never, ever had roaches or rodents in 20 years I've been here--that alone is worth it, since so many city buildings have that problem. They are always on top of every maintenance request responding oftentimes within minutes. The building has also got a 24 hour CVS and liquor store next door behind the building as well as some eateries, Whole Foods, GWU & hospital nearby. Underground parking is also available, if needed. They have recently started allowing pets, and we are considering getting two little dogs! Something I've wanted to do for a long time. All the apartments have nice original hardwood floors and vintage b&w tile from 1949. The other plus of living here is the fantastic rooftop, where you can grill with the main view or just chill on the other, less busy, sunset side. We also have front row seats for all the Fireworks! Check it out--you might end up staying 20 years like I've done!
Great apartment complex for GWU students. Great location, close to campus buildings, and monthly rent allows for flexibility for move in and move out.
Great place. I highly recommend Potomac Park Apartments. It's affordable compared to other places in the area. The apartment mangers are nice and they always try to help residents' requests quickly. The apartments are clean overall. I also like the mailing packaging system. This place has an unmanned parcel management system, and residents can manage their parcels with a mobile app. Personally, this was really convenient. Finally, unlike general apartments that require contracts on a yearly basis, this apartment can be contracted on a monthly basis. In my case, I could only sign the contract for nine months that I needed, which allowed me to save a lot of money. Again, I highly recommend this place.
I love living in Potomac Park Apartments so much! The building is always clean and the maintenance staff is very friendly and accommodating. I also appreciate the leasing office staff and the hours are very helpful as well. I have recommended this building to many friends and will definitely in the near future!
Great staff and timely maitenance crew. Walls are pretty thin and rooms are echo-y so something to be aware of. Also, sometimes communication is off between those in the leasing office, but I think that's because they're a small staff managining two large buildings. Again, just something to be aware of. if you're looking for a basic place, it's great with some nice rooftop views.
Helpful staff and convenient apartments. Always kept super clean and very attentive to resident needs.
I’ve loved living at Potomac Park! It’s close to GW’s campus, and it’s nice that all of the utilities are included. It’s also the perfect place for people with small pets. There are some small maintenance issues that I’ve run into, but the front office has always been very responsive and things have been fixed quickly.
Fantastic apartments, awesome staff. I had a view of the Washington Monument right out of my living room window, which is a rare thing in DC especially for the low rent prices you see here. Front office is very responsive, I had no large maintenance issues and the few cosmetic things I had taken care of were done very quickly. Great location with CVS right around the corner, quick walk to the National Mall, and Quigley's down the block is a must try restaurant. 11/10, would absolutely renew my lease if I wasn't purchasing nearby.
