As a fellow psychotherapist, competency and trust are of the utmost importance when referring out to other clinicians. Rose is a warm, compassionate, competent and trustworthy clinician who strives to give her clients the highest quality of care. I have had the opportunity to share cases with her and observe her clinical expertise. When I refer clients to her, I do it with the utmost confidence that they will be in good hands!
Dr. Helwig is a terrific therapist. I've had the great fortune of having her as a trusted colleague for many years. She builds strong and trusting relationships with her patients through her warmth, compassion, insight, and professionalism. She understands how our earliest life experiences and relationships can impact how we feel about ourselves, how we relate to others, how we see the world, and how we manage our feelings and life’s challenges. Her ability to connect meaningfully with her patients to help them navigate these challenges is second to none. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
I had a phone consult and an intake here. The therapist was the same for both. She hinted that she might refer elsewhere, but made it seem like it was not due to one of the main things I was seeking therapy for. Turns out it was absolutely one of the two main things a therapist has to be able to work with for them to work with me. Her and I both agreed that in-person would be best, but then the suggestion she gave was telehealth only. The other two were not accepting new clients which she knew. I was willing to pay out of pocket for therapy, but I never would have paid for an intake if she had been more open that she didn't actually feel comfortable working with that issue and would make a recommendation of going elsewhere
Dr. Stephanie Helwig is a thoughtful, compassionate, and highly skilled therapist. I have known and worked with her as a colleague for several years and continue to be impressed by her insight, humor, professionalism, and dedication to providing ethical care to her patients. In addition to being a thought-provoking colleague, Dr. Helwig's warmth and humor make you feel comfortable and at ease. I recommend her without reservation.
Rose Bleiweis, LCSW-C, is an incredibly talented, intuitive, and empathic therapist and professional. She is sharp, energetic, and very warm. As Rose’s colleague, she is the first person who comes to mind when I’m looking for someone to refer clients to. Highly recommend!
I am a parent of two wonderful teens.  Over the years, our family has had a good amount of experience with some of the D.C. area's therapy groups and individual therapists.  If you are looking for a truly professional, welcoming, organized, and expert practice to provide therapy for your older kids or for yourself, look no further than Potomac Therapy Group.  This practice has great energy, and they clearly have a keen understanding of the complexities of teen and parent life today.  For example, my older, very discerning teen loves their Instagram account!  Dr. Sarah Weisberg is especially thoughtful and insightful, and easy to communicate with.  The D.C. area is rich with excellent doctors and therapists, but Dr. Weisberg is among the very best of those, and we feel so incredibly lucky that her practice is available to us.
Andrea Zawatsky is a top-notch clinician and provides excellent client care to adults, teens, families, and couples. She offers a safe place to process what's going on in one's life while helping people find strategies on how to feel better. Highly recommend!
I have known Dr. Weisberg for over a decade. I have collaborated with her and at least a few of her colleagues on several clients over the years. Dr. Weisberg is an empathic, genuine, and caring person and therapist. I have always gotten excellent feedback from clients who have worked with her. Thus, I would highly recommend Dr. Weisberg as well as her practice!
I have known Dr. Weisberg since 2007, when we both enrolled at the George Washington University's Professional Psychology program. Dr. Weisberg is a thoughtful, kind, and caring clinician. She can connect and easily build rapport with her clients. Dr. Weisberg's varied and specialized skill set allows her to work with clients who experience a wide range of presenting issues. I highly recommend Dr. Weisberg and her staff to the community. -Ethan Siegel, Psy.D.
Andrea Zawatsky’s warm demeanor and strong clinical skills make her a wonderful therapist. Teens really enjoy working with her and she has a lot of great experience working with ADHD & school issues.
