I received poor service; and was ignored until I specifically asked for help. Others in the store received prompt attention upon entering the establishment. You already know where I’m going with this. I know some people get tired of us invoking the race card; but it is what it is… I should have walked out; but I saw something online that I wanted to see in person. Eventually a salesperson assisted me and I ultimately ordered the furniture; but I didn’t feel good about giving my $ to this location. I will not return to Southlake TX store. Giving it 2 stars because when it was obvious I was a serious shopper with $ to pay, I was given decent service by the sales lady—even after the store manager whispered something in her ear while she was helping me! Not kidding and NEVER AGAIN.
Prices too high for the ordinary shopper. All of their merchandise is the highest quality, but their prices and lack of any real discounts/sales are just not affordable for the typical middle class family. In the past year or so, I've noticed PB prices have become even more extreme than those of their Williams Sonoma brand.
I am completely dissatisfied with Pottery Barn. I ordered custom curtain panels that at the time of order would be delivered in two weeks. I then get an email that they are back ordered so I waited over a month to actually receive them. When I finally received them, I was short 1 panel. After two phone calls to customer service sitting on long holds nothing was resolved. The rep sent me a return label for the one curtain panel that was missing it’s mate and sent me one replacement panel instead of two so I am in the exact same position as I was when I got my delivery. Now I get the privilege of calling again, sitting on hold again, explaining my situation again and enjoying more delays
Perfect customer service! The wonderful and polite ladies helped me locate the perfect comforter, even going to the back to locate it. Matched the online price and perfectly wrapped it for me. Wrapped my selection of bowls and plates for easy and safe travel. Offered design services and reminded me of my Key Rewards. The friendliest service I have received in a very long time. Clean restrooms and an incredible selection of home goods.
Bought online. Picked up at the store. In and out in 5 minutes or less. Well organized and super friendly staff.
This review is for the pottery barn design service at Southlake. The first time I signed up, my request went into a black hole. The second time I signed up, I had person come to my house after a few time changes. She spent an hour walking around my house and said she will send over her recommendations. It's been almost 3 months and I still have not received anything. I reached out to the manager and she was also very casual about it and shrugged it off. Unfortunately it's been a waste of time for me. The free design service marketing email is sent to me very often but it seems like a ruse and nothing comes out of it.
Pottery Barn just doesn’t care. It’s a shame, one of my favorite stores just doesn’t care. They don’t care that we’re in the midst of global pandemic. They don’t care that their stores are closed. They still expect you to spend your Rewards or lose them. We purchased a great couch late last year, signed up for the Pottery Barn credit card so we could get the reward certificate. We were super happy that we got a $425 reward. Really awesome. Our reward was set to expire on 4/24, but given the current global situation I called Pottery Barn in early April to ask if they would be extending the expiration date due to the pandemic. I spoke to someone in their rewards department and after a brief hold they confirmed that the expiration dates would be extended. Excellent! Fast forward to 5/10… My wife and I are buying a patio dining table from Pottery Barn’s website. I entered the reward certificate at check-out and discovered it showed as expired. Confused I called the same rewards department to confirm the expiration extension. This time I got a very different tone and message. I was now told they were credit card company, not Pottery Barn, and that they’ve been directed by Pottery Barn all rewards have to be used by their expiration date or they’ll expire. No extension are being offered given their website has been able to accept orders throughout the pandemic. Surprised and frustrated I asked to speak to a manager. The manager actually cared less than the first person I spoke to, and was totally fine with me losing $425 in rewards and that one of her employees essentially lied to me about the extension. She made it clear it wasn’t her fault or concern, it was Pottery Barn’s, and if I wanted to call them I could. She told me that they only issue the rewards, it’s Pottery Barn’s decision as to offer any type of extension, credit, etc… So I called Pottery Barn. Although the Pottery Barn associates were a bit friendlier and appeared to be a little more sympathetic to the situation they just pointed me back to the rewards department the credit card company “Comenity”, who of course keeps telling me it’s Pottery Barn’s decision, who keeps telling me it’s the credit card company’s decision, who then… well you get it, an endless loop. I would have absolutely used the rewards before expiration had I not been told they would be extended. That’s why I called in early April, we were looking at other items to buy. It’s not like I tried to use it months later, it was 2 weeks after the original expiration! Ultimately this falls on Pottery Barn. I would have expected them to be better than this. So the message they want you to know is that you need to use your rewards or you’ll lose them, regardless the situation, including one of the largest scaled global pandemics in history, Pottery Barn doesn’t care.
Very beautiful furniture and home decor, I went to the shop for the Friends collection but sadly it is only online and what you want has to be put on back order but I would still do it that way as well. I am a type of person who loves to shop at the stores but I am with the times to and don't know mind shopping online. I was just so excited when I saw on Facebook that Pottery Barn was going to have the Friends collection.
I had ordered a light up mirror for my birthday and a red umbrella came- I had called customer service and they said that it was now out of stalk- I said ok than I asked if I could get the white one and they said no- I am beyond myself- I had moved my furniture for This light up mirror and cleaned and was so exited- I also need a mirror to get ready- I had also payed 300$ for this mirror and a 20$ umbrella shade- no it was not a full umbrella it was just the cotton shade- I am beyond myself and so upset about this- so I would not recommend This shop- especially If you are ordering online- take my advice or don’t- but I have has so many bad experiences this is not my first one-
We came hoping to be able to look at furniture but the store is so small and did not carry many selections. Be sure to call if you are hoping to look at something specific, because chances are that they do not carry it in store. We were also in there a while and there were not many sales reps to help. Looks like we will have to rely on online reviews if we want to buy something from pottery barn.
