Amazing service during such a rough time. The program director and the other staff were attentive to the needs and desires of our bereaved family. They took such good care of my mom and they exceeded our expectations. Thanks Powell and Coleman.

They did a great job with my Mom, the service was nice and everything looked beautiful. The process went smoothly with only a few small hiccups mispronouncing my Mom's name during the service, runnaround regarding the death certificate It is VERY inconvenient to deal with them if you don't live in the area, but they do the best they can to accomodate.

This was a first for me I would not advise people to go here. Powell and Coleman has left me speechless Not Very Professional Nor Compassionate I was to far in To turn away . Communications very little It was all about the Money & Time … Yolanda & the lady who took me back to see My Aunt was very pleasant at all times .. But I will say My Aunt was laid to Rest Beautiful .

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. To start with the young lady that we dealt with was very rude an no compassion what so ever. Very little details it seemed that money was her only concern. Please do yourself a favor and take your loved one to a better place to go home. Should of gotten o stars

Powell Coleman takes pride in their work......they will try and work with you as much as possible....I have seen them work miracles on bodies.... unfortunately everyone isn't going to be pleased no matter what....so we learn to take the good with the bad...allowing the negative to make you better.

My father's funeral was held at Powell-Coleman on January 13th and I am so pleased with the way they handled everything from the obituary to the way they presented my father.I would recommend them especially if your having hard times they will work with you.I am forever grateful to Powell-Coleman and family.I forgot the ladys name but she work for the funeral home and she read the prayer. She was so nice and showed compassion for me in my grieving time.They were awesome and I am happy with there service.

Very disappointed with the communication and high level of unprofessionalism. Initial contact seemed okay until they had to hand write their packages prices. Then when I called to get clarification the young lady had an attitude saying it was on the paper she gave me. Mind you she hand written the cost in. No kind of compassion during this process of grieving for a loved one. During the conversation states she was speaking with a relative and told them she would "help out" with the prices. I was applaud and could not believe it they would discuss this sensitive matter with others. Needless to say I moved my loved one's body and on that phone call she yells to someone to dump my love one file then hung up. R.U.D.E. I do not recommend their services! Prayerfully they will read this and have training classes on how to be professional and have compassion. Found out they were over charging me too. #Veteran

I have been to several funeral homes in the northwest Indiana and this by far is the best FUNERAL HOME I’ve encountered. The service was VERY professional. The compassion they shared with me during my time of sorrow was Heartwarming. They went out there way to make sure I was accommodated with everything I needed. My loves definitely had a home going celebration’s. Thank you POWELL & Coleman for your service.

The staff at this funeral home treated my family like family from the first instance of walking through the doors. Through one of the darkest times in your life this family is a light that guides you through the process with genuine love and passion for what they do. They also don't forget about you afterwards. Forever grateful for Powell & Coleman and for truly living by the motto of treating our family like their family. Love always.

Rude and unprofessional! As an out of town guest for a funeral this was the worst experience I've ever had. There was no organization or sense of compassion from these people. After the funeral no one was handing out car stickers and we were lost. When we got to the cemetery the WRONG PLOT WAS DUG!I promise this is NO LIE I called to speak with a supervisor and all I got was defensiveness and excuses instead of apologies. I made it a point not to yell or be rude but the woman that was on the phone was cold and snappy. The ONLY thing good I will say is that the makeup on the deceased was done well. Their attitudes, execution and customer service was off!
