I was honestly surprised to see such a low rating for this USPS location. I have always had a good experience here. Yea agree that people working here need to be smiling and happier but see the thing is we don't know about everyones personal life. When people face challenges they tend to have a glum face and no one can help them except their own selves. As far as services are concerned at this USPS, I have always got good service. We applied our passports here and the person who helpes us was very co-operative. Place is well maintained and busy all the time. Its nearest to my residence and I do visit this USPS location almost every week.
I have no major complaints, staff are friendly and they are open till 2 on Saturdays which is fantastic. Only wish the parking lot was not so small. During the holidays it can be a bit of a cluster getting in and out of it. Otherwise just make sure you are aware of the traffic light in down town powell and how you cannot turn left at it when navigating to and from this place. Also during the holidays they put bins out to collect packages for drop-off so you dont have to wait in line
Had an envelope delivered yesterday. When I opened my mailbox, the contents of the envelope had fallen out. It was a gift of cash for $200. I was shocked that our mail carrier was honest enough to deliver it & not keep the money. There are good people out there!
Worst post office ever. They were rude and somehow biased. I went to send two packages. For whatever reason they opened to look inside and recipient got notified that both packages were opened and both to look inside and content looked messy. There is nothing fishy. I will never ever bring my packages there. With Covid 19 around how they put their hands all over stuffs. No safety nor privacy at this usps since when USPS allow employees to open packages and touch contents.
I don't know why this post office has such a low rating. I always have a good experience there and I think the staff are nice. It's probably the best post office I've been to.
I just got off the phone with such a nice woman who works at the Powell office. There was a mixup with a parcel I am waiting on Halloween costume for child and it was sent to the wrong post office from the Columbus plant. I wish I had gotten her name, but she was polite and understanding as I asked several questions, and even apologized for something that was completely out of her control. I appreciate her helping me and making my experience better.
Despite some of these other reviews, I really thought this was one of the best USPS I've ever visited. I don't know if it was because of the time that I camebefore 12P or if it was the reps that help me Zack and Duane, either way I found my experience fast and accurate. Very helpful indeed. Please ask for those two gentlemen; they deserve a raise or a higher position.
Two employees, rude and incompetent people working at this post office. Where are those nice employees have gone at this post office? I have asked shipper to start using UPS due to incompetent USPS business systems and employees handing mails.
The worse carriers I’ve ever experienced. They get 2 stars because the office personnel are very nice. I have lived at my address for 2 years and I get more mail from prior tenants then I receive for myself. The first delivery man was nice. He asked my last name and I told him my company. About a month later he was gone. So I would gather all the mail that didnt belong to me and place it in the box and put the flag up. That worked for a while, but the lady in my area now will put the flag down and leave the mail. So I put A post it asking to just leave mail addressed to me and my company. She still leaves other mail and will not take it back with her. Never seen a lazier carrier. I talked to the clerk at the office. She said she would talk to her. Same results. So frustrating. I only send back things that look important and confidential. I don’t want to have others personal info in my possession. UPDATE: I spoke with USPS and filed a claim. Nothing has changed. It’s actually pathetic!!! I called again today of course it’s an hour wait to speak to someone so they’ll be calling back.
Absolutely zero accountability. Drivers are lazy and will use any excuse whatsoever to skip by your house for mail delivery. Delivery window for anything is like five hours every day, and mail is often missing. Good luck trying to speak to someone if they decide today isn't your day to receive mail.
