Steak was ok, 1-10 scale it gets 6.5 total . Tenderness 7.5, taste 5.5, very light seasoning - not very flavorful . Broccoli add seasoning at the table … excused. The Baked potato - well it’s a potato and was lightly loaded.Food: 3/5
After we sat down it was a good little bit before our waitress came over. Then when we ordered, my husband's salad came out 15 mins before his and my food. We had to continue to wait for our daughter's food which didn't come out until 10 mins later. They didn't give us refills unless we got their attention and then we still had to wait for the drinks. I would be more understanding if it was busy but there were only 4 tables beside ours in the restaurant.
Got 3 steaks and they weren’t even cooked. They were rare. If I wanted to go home and cook my food I would of went to a grocery store. When I called to tell them they didn’t care and didn’t offer to make right. I was shocked at how they treated someone that has been a customer. Poor Service /NYC Attitudes…added photo of me broiling their steak.
Always a satisfying experience. Great food, great price, and plenty of southern hospitality. Very popular to the local community and surrounding too. Vegetarian options: Plenty of meat free choice Kid-friendliness: My kids love this place
First time eating here, I came intent on ordering dinner during lunchtime hours mind this. You get two sides with the meal, so I asked for coleslaw and baked beans baked beans being available on the lunch menu and already verified by the waitress that there were still some left, but I was told; in a very abruptly manner, that having a side of baked beans with a dinner plate simply was not permitted on the premises. I wonder if I brought a friend here and had her order lunch and then I ate her baked beans with my dinner plate as a way to circumvent this rule, would I be asked to leave or would the waiter/waitress forcibly remove the plate of baked beans?. From the way I was told, I couldn’t even get a side of bake beans even if I paid for it separately. Like it’s simply not permitted, the baked beans are sacred, only to be served with lunch plates only. Now, the peculiar logic of this unwritten rule really breaks down when we consider a cost analysis of a side of baked beans, which is one of those cheap staple dishes of southern cuisine. I really am perplexed as to why I just couldn’t get a side of baked beans with my order as I often would at Waltons, Fat Cats, or any other reputable establishment. You get two sides with a dinner plate, and I am electing to choose a lunch side item which, aside from not only being more affordable for the business to buy and sell, would likely go in the trash after the lunch hour special was over anyways. By the way, the actual food is really good, some of the best chicken fingers I have had… If you read this Donny, can you hook me up with some baked beans if I promise To come back and order catfish? I’ll be a customer for life then…
Food and service were AWESOME!! Very clean. Good prices.
It had been awhile since our last visit to Preston’s. It is out of the way for us. My wife and I both had the med fish fillet dinner. It was 2 nice size fillets, hush puppies, coleslaw and fries. Plenty for us. I will say the sweet tea was ok but a little on the bitter side. Staff was excellent and friendly. Prices for us, under 40.
Don't you dare go into this restaurant without knowing the difference in a "lunch side item" and a "dinner side item." These employees will jump your butt real fast if you try to order a lunch side item at dinner time. Order your vegetables at lunch time only. If you go to Preston's for supper, your side options are basically fried everything. Why this restaurant would choose such a stupid system for ordering is beyond me but what can a customer do?
What a great family restaurant with great good and a nice southern feel.Food: 5/5
I tell myself every time I eat here that I’m never eating here again and then I decide to give them another chance because maybe since they’ve reduced hours and days they’ve got control of things, but somehow, shockingly It’s ALWAYS WORSE! Maybe just close completely if this is the best you think you have to do.. the staff is always rude the girl who answered the phone to take the order was completely rude, the girl who checked me out was rude the food is always horrible like it was cooked 5 days ago and just thrown in the microwave and reheated. The fries are hard and stale and the chicken is awful. I ordered a piece of Carmel pie and it use to come with whipped cream and garnishing and this piece had nothing and had hardly any pie to it, it was basically a piece of crust with a spoon full of pie. I’ve learned my lesson, no more chances. This place has become disgusting
