Substantial deli and market with all the bakery treats. Then has a little side shop with all the beach things you might want to go to the beach. Fabulous Cuban sandwiches and bakery. Very inexpensive place to eat quick and there are plenty of tables out front under very large umbrellas. Right in the center of Miami Beach Midtown
Whenever I asked locals where I could get Cuban coffee they said Primo. I was expecting a traditional cafe with lots of coffee options but that’s not what this place is. It’s a little market with a deli that serves some hot sandwiches and empeñadas. You order it and they give it to you to go. Buy water from the market if you need water. I ordered the croissant bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Man it was delicious!! The croissant was huge, warm and flaky, and the it just a really solid choice. The cortido/cortino ? - Cuban coffee with milk was good but not memorable. My disappointment was with the cleanliness of the tables which are outside. Doesn’t seem like they are cleaned regularly. It was a bit grimy. So, if you know the place is not a nice cafe with servers but a mini-market that gives you tables to sit at your leisure, then you’ll probably really like it for a quick bite.
Decent place for a quick breakfast at a decent price. I ordered waffles and a hot mocha. Waffles didn’t have much flavor, needed sugar or vanilla added to the batter. Waffles were cold by time they called us for our order. Hot mocha was on point. BF got a ham, egg, cheese sandwich… when the lady taking order asked whole or 1/2 that should have triggered us to ask questions. He ordered a whole and it ended up being a foot long on a French loaf. It was huge but again no flavor to it, he had to add a lot of salt & pepper to make it worth eating.
We stopped in for a cup of coffee while we waited to checkin to our hotel. The coffee was good and piping hot. We also had their beef and chorizo empanada which was very delicious for a small market. They also have a deli with a great selection of sandwiches. They also have plenty of seating on their outdoor patio. This has become our go to for coffee and empanada during our stay in Miami.
While in the area on vacation we had heard this place has a good quick breakfast and coffee. Our order was promptly taken by a hard working woman there were many woman working behind the counter taking orders and making food in a quick, amazing fashion!. While I was disappointed with how small the large mocha was, the breakfast didn’t disappoint. My husband had a croissant egg and bacon sandwich which was huge and I had a bagel with egg and cheese. Both were hot and delicious! Definitely swing in here when you are in the area, they won’t disappoint!
We were there early waiting outside. Walked in at 7am when they opened. They have this assumption that they can look at someone and decide they don’t speak Spanish. While I *apparently* don’t “look” Spanish speaking, I’m Hispanic. I am not ignorant to the insults the blonde haired Spanish speaking woman that came in aggressively and clearly angry was saying about to the other women that were trying to do their jobs and set up, because we got there when they opened. Most places, people get to work early and set up and are operating by their opening time. Apparently not this place. Don’t you dare go in when they open because you will get, for lack of a better word, “greeted” by a miserable, rude obviously tired woman that clearly hates her job and can’t wake up on time. And regardless of very patiently waiting to order not bothered about whether they would be taking orders right away or not since we can go look around in the store we were insulted in a language that they thought we didn’t know, for being there at the opening time, 7am. What a sad woman, with such a horrible attitude. It’s truly a shame because the night shift is SO wonderful. She realized as we were checking out, that we were Hispanics when I spoke back to her in Spanish and she got the shock of her life. I won’t even comment on the food because this woman took away any good experience or start to our morning.
It’s nice that this place has convenience food and some house supplies so I give 3 stars for that. Don’t expect amazing food though, the egg cheese bagel I got was pretty low quality and somehow had bacon pieces in there even though I ordered it vegetarian. There are better empanadas in south beach I believe. Come here for the fruit/small grocery items/supplies and not the food.
Decent place if you need to pickup something quick. Just be prepared to pay Miami Beach prices. Staff was not super friendly. I would recommend stocking up on essentials before you hit Miami Beach to avoid the outrageous price catching.
Have visited numerous times! Love the selection of food and drinks. It is a Cafe and store! You can buy anything you need here and is very convenient! Coffee is so wonderful!
The food was very good for some of us in our group but not too good for some others. Also, the customer service was half and half as well. The lady that took our order was very kind but the one that took my other family members wasn't too kind not mean either but could've be more kind
