I worked at this Primrose for a little over 3 years and it was such a welcoming place for both employees and families. The owners are super kind people and are actively involved in the day to day. The leadership team is very knowledgeable and professional. They were always available to employees for questions or concerns and were genuine in their assistance. I also admired the way they interacted with parents and students. They were consistently respectful, kind and enthusiastic towards all families. I recommend Primrose School of Schertz to any person seeking early education for their child and any one looking to work with children.
They had the availability for my son so he had a “discovery day” to integrate himself into the classroom. When my partner went to pick up my son, they said “We won’t be able to take him.” My partner asked why because he has been in a Primrose before and had no problems. Primrose said he was fussy and they can’t deal with that. Meanwhile, my partner has been home from work for a month and obviously my son will experience separation anxiety because of the uninterrupted time with my partner for that period. They wouldn’t even let my son get a week to become adjusted to the environmental change. He is a great kid and doesn’t bite, scratch, or hit just sometimes needs a little TLC when placed into a new environment . We loved Primrose in the past and this just leaves a bad taste in our mouth. He is getting over a double ear infection and his molars coming through. Now we have to find a daycare within a week which is basically impossible here in the San Antonio area. They are clearly not equipped to handle all types of children and are ill prepared for adventurous toddlers. With the exorbitant prices and lack of empathy, there are a lot better places to go that truly care for your child at a better price!!!!
My grandson just completed the Summer Adventure Club for the second year. He also graduated their Pre-k program and continues to ask to return every year. I love how excited he is to go to Primrose and I look forward to bringing him next year.
Primrose of Schertz is awesome. My little girl started in the infant room and just completed Pre-K there. She had the best teachers there and is now rocking Kindergarten in her elementary school. Our son also attended Primrose during the summer and loved their Explorer Program. They do a great job of taking the kids on weekly field trips during the summer Explorer Program and doing lots of activities. The school is very structured and does not feel chaotic like other daycare centers. They have great communication and are always very personable. They are sure to greet every person that comes through the door. Also, they go to great lengths to keep everything clean and as germ-free as possible. They seem to have low turnover. They do a great job of acclimating the kids to their new classroom and teachers when it is time to move up. We are missing our Primrose family but will be back next summer!
I have worked with Primrose School of Schertz two years in a row as their photographer. The staff are so kind and helpful. Any time I have seen them interact with the children, they are patient and compassionate. It is apparent that they love their students and work hard to foster growing minds. The school itself is always clean and is designed more like a home than a preschool, which makes it much more inviting than other preschools I have visited. I look forward to future years working with Primrose and if I have children, I know they would be first on my list for childcare
I cannot say enough great things about Primrose School of Schertz! You really feel like family as soon as you walk through their doors. My daughter and son both were students there unfortunately had to leave due to career opportunities out of state; but if we had the opportunity to take everyone there and relocate them to our new home, we would in a heartbeat! What drew us to primrose initially was their academic approach to learning, as well as their more important focus on social and emotional development. My daughter especially benefitted from this. I can honestly say my child discovered her true, independent and confident self because of primrose. My son was only there for a short period of time, but again we loved working with all of of his teachers on his development as well. We will truly miss primrose; but we will continue to send updates to the staff as they begin their new school.
Primrose Schertz is a wonderful childcare center! It is always clean and secure and the staff is very kind and professional. My daughter loves to go to school and she is rarely ready to leave at the end of the day. Primrose already has a good reputation, so I knew it would be a good school, but I’m blown away by some of the things my daughter is learning and retaining in preschool! Our teachers have been amazing and they do so much to care for and keep the children engaged. They also provide daily feedback and pictures, which we love. Childcare is an exhausting line of work, but somehow they manage to hire and retain excellent, engaged, loving, and professional staff. We are lucky to have found such a wonderful place.
Primrose Schertz is a phenomenal school. My son has been in childcare since he was an infant, and we had issues with 2 different facilities in New Braunfels. We finally made the decision that it was worth the drive to Schertz, and it was a great decision. Our son was met with the greatest and most loving teachers and staff. He attended for two years, and he grew so much in those two years. He was challenged educationally, cared for emotionally, and nurtured socially. He made friends at Primrose that he's still friends with even though we've moved on, and he still talks about his teachers particularly Ms. Carr in Early Preschool and Mrs. Rodriguez in Preschool. From the parent perspective, this is a well run facility. The director, Ms. Lewis, runs a tight ship, which is exactly what we were looking for. She's extremely loving and cares for the children deeply, but she can also run the operation and business side of things. She also has an awesome staff working around her, which always helps to make a leader's job easier. She also has Ms. Watts as admin support, which, well...just go tour the school and meet Ms. Watts, then you'll understand why she's so awesome! As with anything, it wasn't all perfect; however, any issues we had were addressed quickly and professionally. We always felt heard if we ever had a concern. I highly recommend Primrose Schertz to anyone who asks, and truly believe this is a place your children would be loved, cared for, and challenged.
Primrose is truly an amazing school. The staff is kind and welcoming, always greeting our daughter by her name and the curriculum is so well developed. My 2.5 year old daughter can tell me that “I see a new structure being built, Mom!” but when I ask “did you learn that big word at school? What did you do at school today?”, she always replies with “I played with my friends”. As an elementary teacher myself, that tells me that she is being exposed to strong academics and fun/play tied into one school day. Her academic language has grown significantly since starting with Primrose, as well as her social skills, manners, and comprehension. She has truly blossomed and I know that’s thanks to her wonderful teachers, the smiling support staff, and the thoughtfully curated curriculum. Thank you, Primrose Schertz!
Primrose School of Schertz was truly an excellent place to work. I had some experience in early education before Primrose but once hired I received so much training that made me feel so equipped for my first day in the classroom. I started off just working for the Elementary aged students over the summer and I was so impressed with how much educational information they were taught over their summer break. Along with the chance to have so many hands on educational experiences outside of the classroom. It was so easy to transition on to the staff with this team because I was surrounded by other teachers who genuinely have a heart and passion for early childhood education. I was so sad to leave this job after forming such good relationships with my kiddos, their parents and fellow coworkers. It’s a place that after you leave, you’re excited to go back and visit.
