Driver flys through residential neighborhood and screams at folks who ask them to slow down. Total jerk! I have 3 homes that use propane but I will never use this company! Choose wisely who you give your money for services, this company is one to avoid. If they don't care about the neighbors who pay their wages chances are the don't care about the quality/service of their product either.
Just had my propane tank connected for the fire logs. I was not familiar with the non-vented fireplace and they showed me how to light the pilot and get the fireplace fired up. Told me I needed to burn off the logs, and connected a remote control to the unit. Great job. Will be using them as my supplier. They did over fill my tank though, but great service.
Prince gas has been awesome to work with. They advised against a larger tank rental, necessary due to a whole home generator purchase…instead selling me a used tank at a significant discount. This sale effectively saved the cost of purchase within 18 months, simply through the reduced price of gas for a self owned propane tank. They hooked up my tank and new generator for less than 10% of the cost quoted by a competitor. Very professional install team, with OCD levels of neatness and cleanliness. I am delighted to use them, and will gladly recommend them to anyone looking for propane services in the area.
Purchased home in November. Attempted to transfer propane service from previous owner's supplier. They lost paperwork, then assured me account would be set up. Ran out of propane over the weekend. Called Prince to set up account. WITHIN JUST OVER ONE HOUR, PRINCE HAD DELIVERED PROPANE! Thank you!
I called to pay my propane tank rental and while I had them on the phone I ask if they could top my tank off and that was on August 9th. I told them I had 55 gallons and was in no hurry. She said I will add you to the books and I said ok thanks. They came out August 31st and topped it off and I was charged a $35.00 service fee and said it was under 50 gallons. They did not tell me there would be a service fee and I did tell them I had 55 gallons. The ticket they left said if paid by 09/10 my bill would be $83.76, but with adding the $35.00 it was $118.76. I got a bill in the mail that said my balance forward was $193.30 and I have no clue where that came from and is not correct and they took the $71.69 off for the rental and took $125.61 out of my account for the propane. I went in and spoke with them and I was told I had called 3 times saying I needed the propane delivered and I DID NOT. They have me mixed up with someone else. I will be filing a complaint with BBB. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
I've been using them for a year and a half with no issues. I chose Prince because they are the only propane supplier I called that could make an appointment within a few hour window to drop off a tank. Others in the area wanted a one week window. I need to be home when the tank is set. Anyway... no issues since. They are always prompt with refills. I email Stephanie when I'm low, and she responds with when they will come. Easy.
We made arrangements for our tank to be filled for our gas logs at our house we just bought. The serviceman was nice, but unable to light the logs. He was calling in a service call. Customer svc suggestion: call the customer to confirm the request & let them know you are 3 weeks out on appointments.Two days pass and my husband calls to followup, he leaves a message with the receptionist Customer svc suggestion: I see your service call will be scheduled in a couple weeks, sorry for the inconvenience. A weekend and two more days pass without a call back. I called today and they wanted me to schedule one person said two days out, another 2 weeks.... How does a family owned business stay open with such poor customer service? I should not need to call and beg for your business or to learn when our appointment is scheduled. You need in my house and we work, we need notice to allow for one of us to be home to let you in. Give the receptionist the power to offer a discount or a call from the owner to make things right on the account. We try hard to support small businesses, but this is one we won't be working with in the future.
This company is one of the worst in the upstate. My grandfather passed in February 2017 I was under the understanding he owned the tank and had no word or correspondence with prince gas saying otherwise and no company name on the tank. I followed all the guidelines set by probate court and had the death ran in the newspaper giving all debts 8 months to come forward with a claim in probate court still no word here it is 15 months later they show up and just take the tank and propane I paid to have put in it. They tell me the propane will not be refunded or anything they are calling it payment for a pickup fee. If you are running a business then you should know the laws that affect your business and follow them. I wouldn't recommend using this company even if it was a last resort .
Prince Gas, Landrum, has provided me with service & LP gas for over 20 years. They have never let me run out of LP, show up when I call for service on my freestanding thermostatically controlled ventless fireplace, my wall heater in the bathroom & just recently installed my new LP gas kitchen stove, always at very reasonable & fair prices. I love dealing with and supporting local businesses!
We've used Prince to supply our Propane for over 10 years. We live in a remote mountain top community that's not easily accessible. On several occasions, they've come out to top off our tank when inclement weather was forecast. We get snow at our elevation so we've been very thankful for this service many times. It's nice to know that even if the power goes out, our gas logs keep us warm because of Prince Gas' situational awareness concerning their customers. I would always recommend Steve and his team for propane service.
