If I could leave a negative 5 star review I would. My husband and I have dealt with Kenny Cox on multiple occasions and he is absolutely terrible on customer service. He not only never responds unless you involve his supervisor, but he also tells you not to contact him. The windows they are selling, Ply Gem and put in my new home, have had 6 seals go bad in 6 years and I feel quite certain we will have another 6 over the next few years. You would think since they offer a warranty to the original buyer that they would want to at least be customer friendly when you have questions. Unfortunately, I also hear the same complaints from my neighbors about the lack of response from Kenny Cox. Good luck if you ever have to deal with him
Horrible service and installation. I agree with the negative reviews. Not sure how they are still in business. It seems most of the positive reviews are from truck drivers :-. All the 20+ widows have screeched during the "installation." They laid the windows down on the concrete floor. It was shocking. When we saw it, we complained, but the installation team did not speak one word of English. Manufacturer refuse to cooperate since it was a installation issue. I assume builders use them because they are cheap.
This review is on the driver of this vehicle, he almost caused an accident, the company should provide some guidance to drivers on taking it easy during rush hour. This happened in Cary NC
From an inbound truck drivers perspective this place is a joke. It seems that every time I come here I wait for 2 or more hours and there are few to no trucks in front of me. They have about 15 forklifts driving around but only one guy can unload trucks and seems to go missing most of the time a truck is here. It’s a complete joke and ruins your day if you have a pickup somewhere else or if you have multiple stops.
We had a very bad experience. I had high expectations based on the other reviews. They were delayed in delivering our front door and lost one of our double casement windows. It took them 2 weeks to re-order despite multiple emails from me. In addition, their invoice is still charging me for the missing window.
This is a great team of professionals as their name implies and it was a pleasure working with them. We were a very small "account", in the grand scheme of things, yet Kenny was extremely courteous, helpful and receptive to our needs. Great communication and follow up and we appreciate PBS commitment to putting the customer first. We will certainly utilize them in the future. Thank you!
This place does not want your money - they only cater to the big fish in the pond and clearly have enough money to blow you off if you are small fry. I hope they survive the lean times when this building boom comes to a crashing end and it's the small guys like me that are left and still shopping at Home Depot and Lowes.
I have been a client of Tarheel Woodtreating since 1985. I have never had a bad experience in all that time. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to discuss options and new products. When buying treated wood products and all the associated new materials for outdoor construction bypass the big boxes. This is the place to go.
My family and I recently moved into our new home and needed our door repaired. The foreman of the company called to schedule a service tech to come to repair the door. Shane was rushing me off the phone and not trying to listen to what the need was and to make accommodations around my schedule. Shane cut me off as I was talking and the foreman had to talk to him in order to have someone to come out on Tuesday of the following week. Shane assured me that he was going to send his best guy from the company to complete the job. Tuesday comes and the contractor arrives and informs my husband and I that they were told a service tech was not coming to support or oversee the work that was being done. The foreman asked for the trim guy to stay around to complete the trim work and they would not answer the phone and our door will not be completely repaired until Friday of this week. Shane called me on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 8:09 am to discuss a date and time to have the trim guy come to complete the trim work. As I was talking to Shane and explaining that my husband and I had already taken days off, Shane cut me off in mid sentence and I said " I know you aren't cutting me off as I'm talking to you". He became quite and I told him go ahead and come on Friday at 2:00 pm. I called and spoke with the operations manager regarding the unprofessionalism and he said that he would speak with Shane. I'm not sure what the outcome was and I'm sure I may never know, but Shane is rude, disrespectful, and unprofessionalism. The recording that you hear while waiting to speak to someone prides themselves on being professional and offering great customer service. Shane did not provide great customer service or professionalism!!! I will NEVER, EVER refer any of my friends or family members to Professional Builders Supply due to Shane's rudeness, his disrespectfulness , and unprofessionalism!!
I cannot say enough about the friendly service and great prices at Tarheel Wood. It is a family run business, and you almost feel like part of the family when working with them. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend to anyone.
