Promenade Rehabilitation and Health Care Center

If I could give zero I would, I worked at this facility for 1 month and in that month I was given a rubber "bouncy" check from their company checks to pay me my missing wages. I was then told I had to wait another week for my wages for the next payroll cycle. After already tricking me into coming into work to provide with this rubber check.

I had a loved one at promenade rehab a few months ago , he was discharged after a wonderful rehab stint on the 5th floor , Ms Arissa and her team were so attentive and pleasant to deal with , she comminuted with us throughout the whole time our loved one was there. I highly recommend this facility for all respiratory/ rehab needs.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Promenade Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Befe going to Promenade I was very worried, and I was afraid for my husband to leave the hospital because he was on ventilator and fed through the feeding tube. But when we came to Promenade, I immediately felt that we found ourselves in the right place. Under the supervision of Dr. Delman and Dr. Shazad's he started to recuperate very fast. In a short period of time his health improved. The Rehabilitation department is working with him now. The respiratory department does a lot to keep him off the ventilator. The nursing staff and CNAs take good care of him. The best professional amongs ALL is Jason Carcache. He is not only a qualified and knowledgeable nurse, but also a kind, caring, and compassionate person, always trying to do the best for the patients. Also, the director of admissions Ms. Bella Trakhtenberg, she is a great person who always keeps her promises, who does her best to help and support not only patients but also their families. She is optimist and compassionate person, she has been a great asset to Promenade for almost 25 years. The whole team works wonders. I hope with the help of Promenade's team my husband will be home soon.

My brother in law has been doing very well at this facility. He's always smiling and happy when I visit him. The facility is clean and supportive with a top notch staff. Thank you to all the supportive staff and administration at Promenade Rehabilitation Center for helping my brother in law out!

One of the worst facilities on the peninsula. The neglect is at an all time high. The DNS acts like she cares, but she really doesn't. Every concern that I brought to her attention has been swept under the rug. I reported negligence and abuse to one of the supervisors who said the DNS and Admistrator Sam will follow up and of course like all my other concerns were swept under a rug. My mother DID not come there with any wounds, but some how managed to get a stage 2 ulcer while under their care. All the facility cares about is MONEY. They have NO concern for human life.

My father is currently at Promenade for rehabilitation and so far, I'm really pleased with the facility. All staff have been professional and helpful. My mother and I are very involved in his care, and we receive answers to all our questions. I appreciate the transparency and willingness to help, even going so far as facilitating a car service for my mother to make the travel a little easier. The building is right on the boardwalk, which is especially nice to see from the window for people receiving all levels of care. I'll update my review if anything changes, but if you're making a decision on a rehab facility, I would recommend Promenade as a small, non-corporate option. They make getting better so much easier. Update 11/30/21: I wanted to add additional feedback since dad has been home. He was at the facility for about 3 months, which I know is not typical for rehabs - but I really believe the care he received at Promenade helped him improve quicker. He received daily physical therapy and occupational therapy, and he was doing exercises he couldn't do before! I will always appreciate the care he received from Promenade and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

My mom was transferred to Promenade from a different facility a week after surgery. What an amazing level of care! The staff is always warm and helpful, they are taking such good care of her. The recreation crew are so helpful during Covid in arranging visits and video visits, the social workers, nursing staff and the administrator who addresses every concern and problem that came up. Great experience with the administration and staff at Promenade. The therapy provided during rehab was amazing and my grandmother came out of there walking perfectly after breaking her hip. She was happy and enjoyed being able to look out at the ocean. We felt comfortable having her stay there and knew she was being cared for until it was safe enough for her to go home.

My father, Mark, had a knee replacement surgery a few years ago, after which he had undergone rehab and recovery process at the Promenade Rehab Center. We had a great experience with the facility then. Unfortunately, this year he was diagnosed with the throat cancer and had the trach tube installed to enable his breathing. There was a complication with his trach, and as the result, he was referred to Promenade for recovery and trach management during the completion of his radiation and chemotherapy treatment, as well as the resultant recovery. Once again, we sincerely appreciated all the care and attention my father received at Promenade during his recent stay there. In addition, the Promenade Rehab Center has a dedicated respiratory floor where the staff is especially trained, among other things, in respiratory care and trach management. The rooms on this floor are fully equipped with the necessary equipment to render excellent care for the patients. From an exceptionally smooth admission process to the continuous daily care he received, this rehab process has been instrumental for my father's recovery and discharge home. The rehab staff meticulously worked to arrange transportation to and from my father's medical treatments, administered the necessary medications and provided the necessary critical supplies for his trach management. In addition, the knowledgeable and skillful physical therapy team focused on getting my father back on his feet. Once again, our sincere gratitude to the staff of Promenade facility's respiratory floor and physical therapy team as well as all the Promenade personnel for their care and attention. The physical therapy team led by Margaret was knowledgeable, skillful and focused on getting my father back to his feet, and the therapy sessions with Fabian, Tina and others were extremely helpful. Once again, our sincere gratitude to Bella, Margaret, Fabian, Tina, Michelle, the head nurse, and all the Promenade personnel for their care and my father's speedy recovery.

Any place that steals deserves to be reviewed as negative. I ordered food for my father and was told by security that a nurse would bring it to him. Needless to say it was never delivered, he never received it, and I was continually giving excuses by the staff as to why it was missing. Even when the Director of the facility was made aware of the incident he did NOTHING to compensate me. During a Pandemic it's more than necessary to have your loved ones receive their goods. I just thing this is totally unacceptable and can only imagine what else may be going on there.
