I highly recommend Pleasure Island Health. The entire staff is friendly and willing to help. I've never had to wait long for my appointments. I've been seeing Chris for years for pain management. He's caring, down to earth & easy to talk to. He listens and you're not rushed thru your appt. All doctors need learn something from him, take time to talk to ther patients. Great job Pleasure Island Health!
Chris Farmer is a great guy . Personable and knowledgeable . This guy knows his business . Has helped me greatly . He will listen to you and seems concerned with your input . I have seen numerous specialists concerning my particular injuries , and I honestly have learned more from Chris than from any of them . The staff and nurses here are also pleasant and thoughtful . Which is good , because sometimes I am not ! . I have no qualms whatsoever about recommending this place .
I was lucky to find this practice and Dr. Farmer when I injured my shoulder on vacation. He is so personable, and REALLY listens to your concerns. He was very caring and thorough. My only wish is that I could have brought him back home with me to be my PCP here!
This practice told me to start filling out my paperwork. I finished it and they never called me and little did I know I was supposed to bring the paperwork BACK UP TO THE FRONT. I am adding to this review because NOW some lady who walked in THIRTY MINUTES after me just got called and I have been waiting over an hour to be seen. UNPROFESSIONAL, DO NOT GIVE THIS PRACTICE YOUR MONEY !
After two weeks of pain from my bike accident, I decided to have the urgent care take a look at my wounds. Dr Farmer took over 6 X-rays and was very thorough examining my bruises. Luckily there were no serious injuries and most of my pain was from soft tissues. No cast needed, but I had a list of therapy exercises to follow and layoff riding until things healed. I should have addressed this issue earlier as the wait didn't take long. I was probably in and out in less than one hour. That's with x rays taken and the report back from the radiology. The staff was outstanding. The whole visit experience was outstanding.
Just called this place and talk about misadvertisment. My wife is in need of a physical. I was told they couldn't provide her with that because they were a urgent care. When I informed the lady I spoke to, that not only do they advertise both urgent and primary care. I Know someone who is a patient there. When telling me they were just a urgent care didn't work she then said they weren't accepting new patients. Avoid this place as they are not what they claim to be. It amazes me that if you have no insurance although you're willing to pay out of pocket this office will deny you service's. They claim they can give you personalized care then do the opposite when called upon. Not happy with this business at all.
We all got covid after Christmas 2021, signed up to get the Monoclonal antibodies injections. During the sign up process myself and family we were told by 3 people one being the doctor that it would all be covered by insurance. Anything not covered would be written off. July 2022 got a bill yes 7 months later, called them and indicated what was told to us. They told us that was never the case. I provided all three names of whom we spoke with the day of injections.They denied it all, office manager is rude. They even screwed up another family members insurance claiming they never provided insurance cards or documentation. This place is a hot mess, neighbors of mine went here middle of covid times and no one had masks on they are elderly. Save your time and money, go somewhere else. I had to end up paying the bill so i didn't go to collections and hit my credit. If you go keep everything documented.
Needed to find a place for a friend that was struggling with COVID and while most doctors would not see us, the staff of Pleasure Island Health welcomed us with open arms. I cannot say enough good things about this place and appreciate Dr. Farmer and his team for all they did to help out my friend. I believe they saved his life! If you want compassionate and caring medical care then I would highly recommend this place. I am beyond grateful to them!
This is a regular doctor office that offers urgent care. Their patients are a priority. Neither nurse wore a mask & Covid test results were a day later via text message. Go to the Minute Clinic at CVS. You’ll have a more professional experience.
Awesome patient/doctor/nurse relationship. The staff in this office from front desk to Chris Farmer himself is amazing. I have never waited longer than 15 minutes past my appt. time. They listen and actually care about you as a patient. They do their best as well to accommodate your needs.
