I was directed to this Urgent care by my PCP and my insurance. The front office person name Shaundra who is extremely rude keep looking at the reviews. I'm not the only one Ask me what I wanted to be seen for she said since I had multiple symptoms she would have to charge me twice, or I can only be seen by the Doctor once and need to come back again. I ask for her manager's info, and she throws me a business card. Never been disrespected like this in a business here in New Braunfels, I'm sure the office manager is aware of her Rudeness and behavior and allows it. As I see, the office manager has responded to a few reviews and this person continues with her horrible customer service. Just go to Texas MedClinic you'll be treated with respect and all your needs will be met.
I wouldn't even choose 1 star..but it's required to leave this review. First of all the back staff, Drs, NP, PA's, nurses & MA's are amazing!! The front office girl shaundra is absolutely horrible. She has no christian, christus values. I've read these reviews & so many people have complained, but why this girl is still there I have no clue. I am a veteran & was sent there by my VA representative & was told to ask to use the ,"Mission Act " for my care. When I mentioned this to the girl, she acted as though I wasn't even talking to her. She blantly ignored me, looked me up in her system & said," In order to be seen today you need to pay a balance of $34!" I told her how rude & callus she was & how she definitely needed to take a customer service class because all the times I've gone in there she is rude. She never greets patients with respect, she's cold, she has no manners doesn't say,"thank you", "have a good day", hope you get to feeling better" absolutely nothing!! She's awful. I told her as patients we go in there feeling ill & don't need rudness or smitten attitude on top of our hurts, illnesses etc..she never said a word. Idk y this girl is still employed by christus, it's a shame. Don't allow my last name to fool you, I'm a minority, as well & I would never treat anyone as horribly as shaundra has. Also, there was another patient there waiting for her care, as well & she also mentioned to us how she's gone there in the past ,as well & said she was happy I spoke up because her past experiences there have been the same with this girl shaundra. This is so sad that christus allows this girl to continue to represent their name & treat patients, in such a rude & disrespectful manner, especially when they aren't feeling well.
I decided to come here despite the bad reviews and haven’t been here in awhile because I don’t get sick often. The receptionist wasn’t rude in any way, very neutral and informative. When they called us in and got help with the nurse, the wait was a bit long to see the doctor but I still left very satisfied with my visit. The doctor was patient with me unlike the ones on Creekside and were very knowledgeable so I felt comfortable/ at ease. Definitely recommend this place!!!
The nurse practitioner Karry is rude and has no bedside manner. Demanding and let's you walk out with any information or diagnosis.
Attempted to be seen on a Sunday morning for a possible worsening sinus infection. One person was in the waiting room and the lady at the front desk rudely said it would be a three hour wait to be seen. I’ve been to this location a few times in the past with a full waiting room and a less than full staff and never waited that long. Seems the customer service has gone way down here. Definitely not going to waste my time going back there again.
I wish I would have read the negative reviews because it's EXACTLY what I experienced. I needed to be seen for pain regarding an accident I was in. We explained this to the woman serving as the face of this business on 12/5/22 around 10am. She IMMEDIATELY told me that most insurances do not cover car accident injuries and she and the nurse prac said we would need to be ready to self-pay. She NEVER once asked for my PPO insurance card which would have INDEED covered my visit. Never once asked me to sign in, never once asked what our health needs were, or for any of my information. It was IMMEDIATELY about MONEY and it was VERY obvious she didn't want to deal with us. What an amazing health care facility, my mind is blown! We went across the street to Lonestar 24 ER and had the most incredible service I have ever received from a medical facility. GO TO LONESTAR 24 as this urgent care does NOT have your health and well-being in mind!
The worst experience I’ve ever had. I had an appointment at 5:30 and it took them over an hour to see me. Took forever to finally see the practitioner, then she convinced me to get a covid test even though I am vaccinated and I didn’t think that was my problem. Took them almost another nearly thirty minutes for the results that were supposed to take “ten minutes.” By that time, they had been closed for thirty minutes. When my test was negative, the practitioner spent barely a minute to talk with me, wouldn’t listen when I tried to tell her what I thought. She told me it was allergies, even though that is obviously not the problem. Spent over two and a half hours there for absolutely nothing. The lady at the front desk was rude and impatient, acted like helping me was such a burden. If you want URGENT care, don’t go here.
This place was the worst urgent care I’ve ever been to. So unprofessional. Was told my the nurse practitioner Cora that she doesn’t treat patients til they’ve been sick for 7-10 days. I’ve never in my life heard of anything like it. I clearly had an infection and she told me to go to heb and get over the counter meds. Spend 75 bucks for a co pay for absolutely nothing. They charged me but didn’t treat me. Will never be going back to this place.
My family member and I waited over an hour and a half to get some x-rays, which were ordered by a primary care physician. The waiting room was not busy, and it was early enough in the morning. They didn’t have to wait for any paperwork or anything like that, as it was sent over a week prior. We have noticed the same lack of respect and courtesy throughout the Christus Healthcare System, so this shouldn’t have been a surprise, but for an urgent care you would think they would have been a little more…. Urgent…
First of all, we saw a rude “nurse practitioner”, not even a Dr.! Second of all, if it wasn’t for my dad feeling bad , I would have left right away when she walked in the room. She didn’t even introduce herself or anything, she just walked in and said…. “PUT YOUR MASK ON”! Which he had it on by the way but since she just walked in and didn’t knock before entering….. it didn’t give him a chance to completely pull it back up over his nose!!!! So freaking rude! WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!. RUDE RUDE RUDE. WASTE OF OUR TIME and couldn’t even diagnose anything. We left and ended up in the ER which was pleasant and much better service .
