Tucked away in Clarendon Hills, this park is popular amongst the locals. It has a couple of ponds with a great blue heron in one and a family of ducks in the other. The playground is great, with multiple features, and can be enjoyed by all kids formally upto 12 years. There are couple of gazebos where people can have picnics and there is a big covered area for larger parties. There are toilets for both men and women. There is a hole in the ground theater with a fire pit. The park is a great place for families to relax and enjoy the nature.
A good place to have a nice walk, they have some nice weeping willows although one or two less than they used too to my knowledge, open fields, soccer goals set up during relevant seasons summer, spring, fall. I can’t find anything wrong with this place, which was a bit of a proper romping grounds during part of my childhood. Why? Because it’s great for children. There’s two playgrounds, and a elementary school as well as a middle school. It’s also functions as a fine dog park, although the only catch of that aspect of the park is this: you are not allowed to take your dog off the leash while in the park. So it would be kind of hard to throw old Rover that tennis ball you’d conveniently brought on your walk through Prospect Park. The park district sets up the hill near the corner of Norfolk and Oxford for sledding every winter and the tennis courts near the middle school for ice skating, and it’s a decent enough hill for some good sledding. They also set up some sort of festival with hay bails good for children near that hill in the fall. The park district does a good job of maintaining Prospect park, and has always looked into any reports I make about the park with considerable haste within the next day or two. It’s a beautiful place with considerable function. With twin ponds good for mild fishing, nice open fields for romping and what not, 3 baseball fields used by local leagues, a nice tennis court, and seasonally open bathrooms and a new mini parking lot for oxford st. on a smaller note, this is a pretty nice place.
Prospect park is huge ! They have so much to do , awesome new playground , soccer fields, basketball court and a walking path with a few pounds and fountains. They also have picnic tables in a covered area with public restrooms.
I was there for our 11 year old granddaughter's traveling softball game Very nice fields with trees for shade for spectators.
Nice area for families. Beautiful Park! Good for a long walks. Nice play place for the kids. Picnic benches. Also a soccer and baseball field. Plenty of room. In the winter they also have a sledding hill. I enjoy this Park very much.
Best park in Clarendon Hills. Very family friendly and plenty of space for peace and quiet.
Nice little park in Clarendon Hills. Can be reserved and great for family events and parties. Plenty of benches and seating with clean bathrooms. Playground and a small hill for kids, along with soccer and baseball fields from the schools situated next to the park.
Lovely neighborhood park with walking trails, playground for big kids and littles, sledding hill in the winter time, prairie garden.
Large, brand-new, and excellent park. Lovely walking trail with two ponds where people fish. pavilion and restrooms.
This is a very cool park. So much to do here. A big hill, multiple parks, baseball fields, a couple of ponds. You can walk or run the trails, play basketball or tennis. Even have a little bonfire if you are a Clarendon Hills resident and reserve the fire ring. It's pretty cool.
