Public Health Activity Fort Bragg consists of more than 150 Soldiers and Civilian Employees dispersed through six Branches and eight veterinary clinics on Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force installations in North Carolina and Virginia, supporting more than 500,000 DoD personnel and beneficiaries, and more than 150 Government Owned Animals.
PHA Fort Bragg commands and controls assigned veterinary assets to provide integrated and comprehensive Veterinary Public Health through high quality veterinary care; food defense and quality assurance; and veterinary preventive medicine support to all Department of Defense (DoD) entities and authorized government agencies in North Carolina and southern Virginia; to ensure unit readiness as a DoD Active and Reserve Veterinary Services training base; and on order, deploy trained Soldiers in support of worldwide contingency operations.
