Public Library
"The Alpharetta Library is set amidst the downtown Alpharetta retail area. It blends well with the surrounding government and retail buildings, yet stands out as a community destination. The artwork at this location communicates this sense of belonging with The Lion and the Mouse - David Landis’ Stainless Steel Cast aluminum from the Aesop fable. The humble mouse comes to the rescue of the mighty king of the beasts. Sometimes called the “neighborhood artist”, Landis is one of the South’s most prolific public artists. His works often feature animal themes. This specific work reflects the vulnerability and the strength of our library institutions as places of gathering, education, and learning."

Alpharetta Branch Library is nice. It has free parking and a public parking deck right across the street. It's also next door to the Alpharetta city hall and a hope skip and jump away from Alpharetta square. I posted some video. I had a lot on my hand lol some ignore all the movement and noise ‍.
The statue in front of the library is amazing with so much indepth meaning in it. The Library is a treasure of knowledge and staff are very friendly and helping everyone
Publicly harassed disabled adult. This review is exclusively for the security guard inside the library. My husband and I were in the young adult section today finding a book for him to read. An armed security guard rushed over, asked our age, and loudly told us the teen section was only for teens!? My husband has dementia/Alzheimers. This has resulted in a decline in his reading level, however he still needs books of high interest. Which is exactly why young adult books are high/low books: high interest, low difficulty. Many adults have disabilities or are new readers and should have access to this section without being publicly questioned or humiliated. I am disgusted that she embarrassed a disabled adult in front of group of people, simply because he wanted to find a book he could read. Everyone should have open access to all the books in a library. We left immediately. The man at the front desk apologized and was very polite, however we will not be going back there.
I can only assume that QUIET libraries are no longer a thing? The noise level in this place is INSANE. The first time we came, was on a Saturday. There was an event happening downstairs, which is open to the upstairs area. The second time we came was a Thursday afternoon. Still just as noisy, as there was something going on downstairs again. I can't imagine anyone coming here and being able to study anything.
We stopped by today tried to find a study room, but failedmaybe due to covid-19. This library has a great location, right next to many good restaurants and unique stores. Parking can be busy, but you can park in the Public Parking building across the street. The library's interior design is simple and modern, a two-floor structure with enough light and seats. Librarians are very friendly; I overheard it's a relatively new library; you may find the book that you're interested in here.
Beautiful library -- well maintained and sufficiently quiet. The auditorium is also very nice. Only recommendation to improve it is having better mics -- speakers had to hold the mic with their hands which don't stay in one position all the time, and that causes fading in and out. I recommend mics that can be pinned to a speaker's shirt/top so that they stay in place and provide consistent volume throughout their time on the stage.
be careful when taking out a book, check return date; sometimes you are unable to renew even if you are not finished because there is a 'hold' on it. Doesn't make any sense to me at all. I was 1/2 thru a book and had to return it. Wish I had known that. What a waste of time.
Spending some time with the kids reading books is always time I appreciate. This branch have a lot of books, friendly staff and great spots for reading
Always our first choice to go even though we are closer to the Ocee and Spruil Oaks branches. Much bigger catalog here and lot of staff to help you out
Very noisy Library and noisy, disrespectful staff. Kids screaming and playing on several occasions I’ve been here. Not enough “quiet areas” or study rooms. Study rooms only given a max of 2 hours/day. So forget taking any practice exams etc here. Better off at Starbucks with more space and less distractions.
