Preparing for labor and birth may be all that you had hoped and dreamed of. You envision your baby's birthday as easy and joyous. On the other hand, preparing for birth may be overwhelming. It may bring up challenges and fear. You may not think you can do this alone - and you shouldn't have to.
I am here to serve as your constant reminder that you are that brave. You are that strong. I provide the unconditional, unbiased support that is essential to creating a strong support team for your unique labor and birth. I am as involved/not involved as you wish, and I know that can change throughout our relationship during labor. My sole agenda is to ensure you remember this life changing experience in a positive way and that you felt you were well-supported through the entire journey.
I believe birth is a natural event that is unique for every woman. I believe that a woman's body is made to birth her baby, and that women instinctively know how to birth their babies. It's easy for me to believe in birth because it is my passion. I live and breathe birth.
Imagine having an outside perspective from a doula who has extensively trained to handle the demands of birth. Now, imagine that doubt disappears. I know each birth is different and expect the unexpected. I keep your Plan B (and C, and D, ...) in mind so you don't have to. I am with you from the beginning, all the way to the end. I am your solid rock of reference, comfort, education, and support through all of the unknown.
I know how much information is out there and I am here to help you digest it. I believe that there is no "right way" for you to labor, or "right way" for you to cope. I support YOUR wishes for YOUR unique birth.
I support all families; those wanting unmedicated births, medicated births, home or hospital births, C-section births, and VBAC births. And if you aren't sure what it is that you want, I can help you find YOUR way.
