I would rate 4*, because receptionist and doctor was very nice and helpful . Although I needed to wait almost 2 hours , but it’s bank holiday . Any way I’m grateful to have any help today .
Went to the weekend walk-in service. Waited just under one hour on a Sunday late morning/early afternoon. It was not very busy. Staff were helpful and friendly. Saw a nurse practitioner, she was as good as a doctor. Happy with my visit.
I went in because I thought I found a lump and was told by 111 to get it seen. I suffer from anxiety and as I have serious medical conditions I’m always extremely cautious when it comes to my health. The doctor who saw me was so cold and dismissive, he even rolled his eyes at me just gross behaviour Thee receptionists are extremely welcoming and kind I often can’t really verbalise when I’m having a anxiety attack but that was extremely encouraging and understanding which made me feel safe at the time.
It is becoming absolutely impossible to be seen by a doctor. And phone call appointments are almost never at the scheduled time. You have to give up your day at work to sit on your phone waiting for the call. If you have a job where this is not possible then enjoy paying NIN for nothing cause they ain't seeing you or giving you an accurate phone call time.
The pros: receptionists are typically nice. The cons: almost impossible to get a timely appointment or be seen in person unless you call at 8 am on the dot on the day you need treatment. Extremely poor treatment from multiple doctors I’ve seen at this practice. They constantly interrupted and talked over me - absolutely belittled my symptoms and my knowledge of my own body and health. They gave me the same treatment for recurring problems until I begged to be referred to specialists. Multiple times I was told to “just take paracetamol” and “drink more water” for issues that eventually landed me in the A&E. I get that this practice is overloaded and the NHS in general is understaffed but I HIGHLY recommend any women with health issues to see someone else who will take your pain more seriously. My partner male, same age always got great, timely treatment though so men - you’re good to go
Was apprehensive after reading the other reviews, but I had a great experience. They saw me very quickly and the receptionist is so busy but still friendly and hard working keeping on top of everything.
Registered with their GP service 2months ago and had both in-person and phone consultations which were great - helpful and kind professionals. I could book appointments within 1-2 days time which were more or less on time max 30min waiting
Although the receptionists are usually friendly, the wait time for an appointment is ridiculously long if there is even one available. The last time I had a phone appointment for something I was very worried about the GP spoke to me very bluntly and was trying to rush me off the phone. When I said I still had a few questions we had only been speaking for 5 minutes he said "well that depends how many questions, how many questions have you got?" as if it's not his job to help me with simple concerns relating to the appointment. Was very very disappointed with this care as I think politeness is a basic requirement for any position.
If you value your health and time DO NOT register here! It is not worth it, what’s the point of registering if I have to sit in the walk in anyway waiting for a doctor or nurse. I’d be here all day if I write down all the things that have gone wrong whilst I was a registered patient with them for over 2 years. The first fact is that I was only supposed to have 2 blood works taken from me which ended up being 8 blood works done spanning across 4 months crazy isn’t it and the reasons are more stupid. Secondly Receptionists really don’t know what they’re doing or even talking about when you book a certain appointment. Might not be their fault as I’m guessing they’ve never received adequate training but still, duty of care starts from them. Booked an appointment for my MH which I was told to do by another doctor and had the appointment with him, really trying to get things off my mind and he was hurrying me up and I quote “you should’ve booked a longer appointment” wow I said this is why people never reach out for help as they get it thrown back in their faces. A nurse who has been working for nhs over 20 years really did some damage to me over a course of months as the method they were using for me was really incorrect which affected me physically and mentally… again medical negligence. Communication is really poor between patient and practice, they lose results damage u physically so again… I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
If you value your time and health, do not come to this practice, they booked me an appointment at 9am and I’ve been waiting there for almost an hour, so what is the point of booking appointment? Even those behind me with appointment at 9:30 get in before me, is that racist? Also, they booked me for a mum and baby check, but ridiculously they told me they messed it up, I don’t actually need to come for the check!! They have wasted my whole morning and did nothing! I mean before booking appointments for us, did they actually check my details and see if I need the check or not? It is a really unpleasant experience.
