NORML stands for National Organization for the Reformation of Marijuana Laws. NORML aims to shift public opinion sufficiently to achieve the legalization of recreational cannabis in the United States so that the responsible use of cannabis by adults is no longer subject to penalty. NORML has been behind many of the recent successes in legalization across the United States, and has affiliated in countries around the world.
Purdue NORML is a student chapter of the national-level NORML. Our focus is to promote healthy conversation about the controversy surrounding cannabis and inform the general public about the benefits and opportunities of legalization. We host fundraisers, outreach events, seminars, surveys, and campaigns around campus to reach these goals.
To properly educate and inform the general student and faculty populace of Purdue University about the benefits, opportunity, and ethical rights surrounding recreational and medical marijuana legalization.
