Our Story: Pure Beauty Bar
Sylvia Brownlee, Head Pure Beauty in Charge, brings more than 16 years of experience in the beauty industry to her current venture, serving in leadership positions in operations, education, administration and management. From personal to business, beauty is her life. A native of Ohio, she holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
She is inspired to make beauty a No. 1 priority and that’s exactly why she launched Pure Beauty Bar. “Beauty and fashion is something I’ve always been passionate about and I want to help others figure out how to make their look work for them so they can be ready to kill the day!”
Pure Beauty Bar, founded in 2014, is a full-service bar, located in the heart of Pleasant Ridge in Cincinnati, offering luxe but affordable beauty services to a diverse clientele to help bring out your inner beauty while enhancing your outer beauty. Services include facials, waxing, eye lash extensions and makeup applications for day chic, special occasions or photo shoots. The salon is also the exclusive distributor of Hair Addict, a line of Brazilian and Indian hair extensions inspired by Brownlee’s muse, her daughter Jazz.
“My daughter would always complain about the hair she purchased---the shedding, the tangling or just the bad quality. Every month she was ordering new hair and changing hairstyles, so I told her she’s addicted. And there it was, an extension of Pure Beauty Bar.”
Hair Addict has collections to suit every woman’s tastes, from straight to wavy to curly, and the extensions can be used for weaving or custom wigs. The hair can also be dyed or used for any style, with lengths ranging from 12 inches to 30 inches. The extensions have prestine and sturdy wefting and is soft to the touch---qualities of a product you can enjoy for installment after installment with the proper maintenance and care.
