Purple Cafe Kirkland

After being misdirected by Apple Maps and saved by Google Maps, Purple was a great place to catch up with a friend on a freezing cold Sunday night. The calamari and baked brie were delicious. The waiter was attentive without being intrusive. I suspect this is more because it was a quiet night though. We spent three hours chatting. I suspect I was upsold on the wine. I asked for the same as my friend already had, the waiter asked my preferences and chose another. I didn't really care though. Being in a mall also makes parking a breeze. Just don't trust Apple Maps - it's not next to the transit center.

Small, quaint, but love the space. If you're a fan of wine, you'll definitely find something here you'll love. Big fan of the seafood and wine selection. The bar is intimate and has a horseshoe setup.

Try their baked brie and artichoke spreads to start a table off. Similar atmosphere to the other locations. Specials are typically delicious and change with the seasons.

This place is good for a nice higher end lunch, though it tends to get kind of busy. Their dinner service is a little slow and I have yet to have a good steak at this location. Beware!

Great selection of wines and cheese. They have some suggested flights to give you an idea what wine and cheese goes well together. Somewhat pricey though.

Great brisket tacos, guacamole & margaritas. Not traditional flavors, but by far the best Mexican food in Downtown Kirkland.

Love the special 1/2 off bottles during happy hours on Sundays. This is our go-to place to enjoy a leisurely Sunday afternoon.

The atmosphere, food and staff here are all excellent! I don't frequent it often, however everyone that I do I am reminded why I look forward to it.

Great food. Not too fancy, but definitely not boring. There's a spark of creativity in the menu.

Great Wine bar with a top notch selection of wines and incredible food. Love the open patio during the summer.
