I came here for the restaurant, and this was the best food I've had in Florida. The staff was friendly and passionate about the hotel. The front desk clerk gladly gave us a quick tour and run down of the history and little details about the way it was built. I could tell she really loved working there. They have a beautiful garden with an aviary and adorable cats walking around. I feel it's super important for people to know how amazing this historic hotel is, and more people should visit and stay. It felt like Old Florida and I'm so happy I got to experience it.
This place is simply amazing go there Thursday Friday or Saturday. The steak or Prwn shrimp were amazing. The attention to detail as soon as you open the front door will take you back to the early 1900 hundreds. Will be back again to recharge and enjoy this amazing again soon Food & drinks: Thanks for having Sam Adam's beer great choice
Stayed here on a motorcycle tour. Lovely 25 room hotel set up like a country estate, peacocks roaming, pet cats, singing birds, beautiful water fountain. Very relaxing! Bed was perfectly comfy. Very clean rooms & property! Very affordable! Built in 1927 as a hotel but all the updated features, central air, cable TV, updated bathrooms, plenty of hot water, fridge, ice, coffee, shampoo, soap and a ton of the softest towels! Highly recommend!
I had lunch with a group. I had the 1927 salad which was delicious. And the carrot cake, which was good. There was a bit of a delay with desert, but it had gotten busy. I would absolutely go again! I didn't overnight there. I went for lunch, saw the wedding/banquet room and went to the backyard and saw a peacock.Service: 5/5
We were driving by and noticed this just in time to turn around and catch dinner last night. What a treat! Our waitress was a nice young lady named Ashlyn who helped us with our choices as well as guided us to explore the property while we waited for our food. The rolls with oil and balsamic were worth the stop! My wife had the redfish and I had grouper piccata and we both enjoyed it. Neat place with lots of history don’t skip the men’s room lol
The hotel was well kept, but bed and breakfast was misleading. It's not a Cafe but a small kitchen area that has a limited supply of frozen sandwiches, yogurt and coffee. Room had funky step from bathroom to bedroom. The bathroom door and entry door where hitting each other, so you had to remember to close it or other peson couldnt get back in room. The refrigerator in room wasn't on and didn't notice so our medicine and food were bad when we opened in morning. This was very upsetting. If you get a garden room, bring earplugs, the noise from the wildlife woke me several times. The restaurant was rustic/romantic. We sat in a little room with big cozy chairs and a very uncomfortable table. My husband got the Osso buco, which was perfect. I ordered the crabcakes, but they were out. Had to wait a very long time for the server to return to retake my order. Ended up getting steak tips. Ordered blue got medium with one slightly medium rare and tough. Since it was late and my husband won't eat if I returned it, I ate what wasn't shoe leather and the stray cats outside hotel got an expensive meal. Grounds were kept, but shrubbery needs a little more attention. The pond was a little gross and slimy. Slightly over-priced but comfortable. If the breakfast was even a limited fresh buffet style and the restaurant got tweeked, be a rave review.
Great stay. Had a wonderful time. Well done and friendly. Best in the area. The restaurant was honestly some of the best food I had! Way better than expected. A great stop on way out of Steinhatchee.Rooms: 4/5
It's a relaxing place respectfully adults pet's friendly but keep pet's on a leash it has a dog park that is fenced-off birds peacocks that are wild that walk around there cats are there couple of them a water fountain with tables around showers bathroom and washer and dryer at the RV Park
Very nice, comfortable, quite and clean. I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere. Very good experience, I would highly recommend this hotel.Rooms: 5/5
Really enjoyed our one night stay. Called to reserve spot on way home and was told that we couldn't bc our dogs are aggressive. They are not aggressive and cannot recommend a stay there. We walked them on trails with absolutely no problem.
