Great place for young couples with kids. Our room had many updates. Nice big pool. Easy beach access. I will admit I miss having a washer and dryer in my unit. Also, my balcony for early mornings.
We had a great room. Freshly remodeled, extremely clean. They are individually owned units, I cannot vouch for all of them but 125 was fabulous. The grounds were secure, the place is quiet for a high rise.. Very quiet.
The place as a whole was nice, beautiful view, and beaches. They offer luggage carts to bring your stuff to your room. Our room 810 had a cute theme, the cleaning people seemed to have just did a minimal cleaning, like changing bedding and cleaning top surfaces. I'm 5'4" and I had to scrunch to take a shower, but I would recommend staying here. You do have to pay $30 to park and wear an armband your entire stay. But the staff are friendly and my daughter and I had a great experience.
Our condo owner we rent from is awesome. The staff at this place is rude though, especially one of the office ladies. They act absolutely crazy about you wearing an arm band at all times. The fire alarm went off multiple times during our past stay, elevators weren’t working all the time, & someone from the HOA opened up our room for an inspection while was son was asleep & did not bother to close our door back which I did not appreciate at all. It scared my son, not to mention leaving all our belongings for anyone to take. Thankfully my son got up & closed the door. Overall though, the access to the beach is awesome & they have a nice pool area to lounge around at. It’s also in a convenient location to everything.
The blond host was rude and roller eyes at me but apologized when I told her it wasn't necessary then became very friendly. The fire alarm sounded on one evening, not sure why. 1 of the 2 elevators was down for most of the stay which meant long wait times. They were installing some kind of cable or something so there was noise from that which was not disclosed upon booking. The building sucked but our condo was amazing.
I paid a lot of money to stay here and there's so many rules and they're so petty with them! You have to wear a wrist band at all times! Pay $30 to park and was unaware of this! Can't move the beach chairs and if you do, you get spoken to! They want you to post a plaque on your car dash or from your mirror with your car make model, plate number and room number.... that's so wrong on many levels! I stayed there alone and felt very uncomfortable posting all that information! So I put it face down... there's a guard at the gate that takes all your information so I didn't feel I needed to display it at all times. The next day, there was a violation notice on my windshield! Threatening to tow my car is i didn't comform! It's a beautiful place but with so many rules and regulations, I stayed somewhere else 2 days into my 4 night stay! Just felt like a kid back in school being watched by the teachers and the principal! Plus I didn't know about the code to get in the room, but I just figured since I checked in after hours, the key card would be in the room....I was so wrong! They gave me a 10 digit number code that I had to use everytime to enter the room. That was such an inconvenience to always have my phone on me and make sure it's charged or else I'd be locked out! The bathrooms are extremely small, and no one mentioned that the dehumidifier would go off late at night that I had to empty!!! So many inconveniences and definitely not worth the hassle and the money!! I came to visit from Ny and recently moved from Fort Rucker and was looking forward to my military wife friends coming to visit me...but you can't have ANY visitors...so I booked another hotel just to have this happen while still having my room at Top Gulf! Never ever again will I book with them! No balconies as well!
Could be a great place, it has potential. Several rule issues are a problem. The snack shack on property by the pool will sell you a 6-pack of beer for $20! but not allow you to drink it in or around the pool?! Just maybe clean the pool at 10pm-whenever; but not at 2pm on a Friday afternoon!? Please!
GIRLS TRIP..... we stayed in #622. The room was good for our stay. The sleeper sofa bed was not good, could feel all the bars through the matteress. The full bed was ok, but it could use a new matteress ans box springs. We didn't have any dishrags and only one dish towel. Only one spare roll of TP and with three ladies we needed more. The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds was well kept. I felt safe staying there. The hallways were clean. We were there during the off season so the pool was not open fro use : but it was clean. All in all I would go and stay again. YES..... the elevators worked.
I enjoyed staying here very much. We stayed in one of Norris Condos' and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The bed was 5 star, the room was immaculately clean and comfortable, and the private patio was perfect! You have to pay $20 per vehicle, which we were told prior. You also have to keep your pass displayed in your vehicle and keep your armband on at all times. This is required for your safety as they don't let any and everyone come onto the premises. On this trip I noticed that there are a lot of feral cats in the area at various places. At some of the places, there are signs stating that you could be fined $100 for feeding the cats, which I did not understand at first. I talked to one of the condo owners and she said that they've worked tirelessly with local advocates who spay & neuter cats. They then tag the ones that have been fixed in order to control the cat population but, but when folks start feeding them, it brings more & more cats to the location and gets out of control again. The cats are wild; therefore, they could have any number of diseases which could pose a safety threat. The property owner that I spoke to is also an animal lover. She has tried everything under the sun to get help with the cats but local resources are few and far between due to the extreme cat population. They've found that there are limited resources available. In all, I had one of the best stays I've ever had anywhere and I learned how important it is to spay and neuter your pets.
Really wish I would have paid more attention to the reviews before booking here. Every staff member is RUDE. We stayed here for a couple trip this past week and will NEVER be back. We paid over $1700 to stay here only to be charged an additional $20 when we arrived for a parking pass and armband we weren't aware of and lets not discuss the harassment you receive from the employees either, especially over the armbands. Doesn't matter if you have them on your person or ladies, around your purse, they tell you that you HAVE to have it on your wrist. We got asked if we “could read” by a front desk personnel because we were in the pool when it was closed- there was no sign outside the pool stating so nor a sign when you walked in the gate facing the entrance. Lets not forget the elevators don't work so pray your not on a top floor as we were. The only pleasant experience with an employee was the younger, white short haired security guard who was working 7/30 when we arrived. The long haired security guard will see your parking pass and wave you on past the security into the parking lot then chase you down at the elevators to be sure you have your armband. The harassment you receive and the rooms to be honest are not worth the money!!! Read the reviews and BE AWARE BEFORE YOU STAY HERE.
