I have never had the responsibility of planning a funeral service before and adding to this task the sorrow I felt loosing my loved one made everything very challenging. The kindness and caring nature of Mr. Douglas and his staff and the professionalism of the services made us feel very proud and blessed that we had chosen them.The military honor and services provided during the interment  service at the cemetery was so beautiful and special to our family. The Q.L. Douglas funeral home was Amazing! During this difficult time they made me feel like I was the only person that mattered. They were available no matter how many times I called, stopped by or had questions. They took great care with my husband. They made a difficult time bearable. From the moment I called them they took care of everything. The funeral director, Ruth is the Best! This funeral home is professional, dedicated and kind. I can not thank them enough for everything that they did during a sad time.

Q.L. Douglas Funeral Home was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so kind, gentle and caring during a very sad time in our lives. They truly listened to the little details we wanted to help express our love to our beloved Reginald Payne. Nothing was too big or small. We had the pleasure of working with Mr. Douglas and his assistant Mrs. Sharon who was very thoughtful, kind, caring,  compassionate, very responsive and she guided us in every step. Never rushing us! We bombarded her with calls, emails and hundreds of picture for a memorial video. She never said it was too many. She literally treated us as her family. On behalf of the Payne family we would like to thank you for such beautiful and professional service. Highly recommend

From the beginning to the end, Q.L. Douglas was awesome. My mother passed and Q.L Douglas Funeral Home did such a wonderful job getting me and my family through this process. Even though I was grieving, their team made this process as easy and as smooth as possible. They were there through every step of the way. I felt like they were family. I would recommend Q.L Douglas Funeral Home to anyone that unfortunately has a loved one that has passed away.  God Bless!

There is so much I would like to say about this business, but I will try to keep it short. Q.L Douglas and his entire staff are professional, polite, detail-oriented and have compassion for their customers. Ms. Sharon and Mr. Douglas made this difficult task of planning a funeral for my father less stressful.  Their compassion,  patience and expertise made the funeral services easier to digest. The viewing was beautiful,  from the slide show, to the crystal figurine with his picture, and even his body. It's difficult to discuss, but he resembled himself "prior" to his illness and looked as if he was peacefully sleeping.  The FAMU theme we requested for the program was superb and was also applied to the slideshow.  The staff was AWESOME both during the funeral and graveside. To the Q.L Douglas team, thank you for your professional services and I will definitely recommend  your business to all friends and family.

BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES. BETTER TO PAY FOR FUNERALB UP FRONT. YOU WILL BE CHARGED TWICE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE FEES.  TOTAL COST OF FUNERAL 6700. INSURANCE SEND $6K TO Q DOUGLAS 3RD PARTY COMPANY AND I PAID $1 THOUSAND  TO HIM.THAT'S $7 THOUSANDS. Q DOUGLAS TRYING TO TELL ME HE DID NOT GET $7K. HE TOOK $270 DOLLARS  MY FAMILY. BAD BEWARE

I did a crowning at a funeral service. The owners wife met me for the first time and was very , very professional, along with her staff. I would recommend anyone to them because they take pride in all that they do.

I was highly impressed with Mr. Douglas and his amazing Staff. They did an excellent job with my Mom's wake and funeral. The best funeral in Jacksonville!!!!! Thank you again QL Douglas Funeral Home. You all exemplify true professionalism, care and concern, and love for the family.
