Cake has became very dry over the year. Cream has become less as while. This cake use to be very popular in my teen years and it was very delicious. Wouldn’t order here anymore. Sorry just being honest.
One of my favorite places in all of Fresno. The people who run are always friendly and the spicy sandwiches are so good!
Love the cake overall. Nice family owned and had great talk to owner about my 2 tier wedding cake. Aug 24th 2021. Great listening and suggestions.
I've been a customer of this place for over 5 years. I have bought over 100 sandwiches and 20 birthday cakes and even my wedding cake was from this place. I loved their coconut cake. But just yesterday, I went to go buy my daughters cake and when I finally ate it, I was disappointed. It seem they have been putting less and less coconut in the coconut cake. They also raised their prices. I understand the economy but to give your loyal customers a lesser product at a higher price is just not right. I will be moving on to another place for my inquiries.
A lot of people likes their cakes but it's a ok for me only. Their Vietnamese sandwiches used to be the best but now it's ok too. They took all the good meat out of the sandwich so it only has one type of meat leftdry red pork meat. It doesn't have enough pâté too.
I used to come here all the time for the banh mi when the prices were $5, now they are $7. Yikes. Unfortunately, my sandwich was lacking the pate in the sandwich and the dressing or spread that they use was more vinegrette than anything else. The bread, of course was on point, but it couldn't save the sandwich itself. Nor will I come back because they've missed the whole point of what a banh mi should taste like. They cakes are still looking good, but I have never gone here for just the cake, it's the sandwiches.
Im sad to say. Their sandwich is so bad now. The chili is always old now. The bread is harder than before. The cucumbers are old. It used to be made with love and be fresh but now its disgustIng. I will not be supporting anymore .
I used to love eating their Bahn mi sandwiches but the last few times they literally put like 2-3 pieces of meat in it. It's sad that we kept giving them so many chances to prove to us they are still the best but it's not good anymore. Bread is always hard now, not toasted. Also, when I ask for more meat and offer to pay extra they tell me that they can't do that. Don't know why but never coming back unless they start making it with fresh ingredients and put more meat in the sandwiches.
Love going to this place for ordering cake. I like to order mine with the coconut filling and there are actual coconut meat in the filling. Parking space is small and crowded with a shell gas station sitting right in the same lot that took almost half of the parking space. There’s a Hmong TV market, pho 90 restaurant, a papaya place, etcs. They also make Vietnamese sandwich here as well.
I called in to order a cake, I wanted a smaller size but she said she doesn't make it, so I had to order a bigger size.. Which was fine with me, but one thing is... Don't sell me a week old cake!! The cake was so old and the frosting/whipped cream was hard.. I spend 39.99. Ordered a cake and 2 sandwiches.. And let's not talk about the sandwich.. I had always ordered from here and this will be my last time ever! I see more carrots in my sandwich then meat, I was lucky enough to get 2 piece of meat.. Customers service was very poor!! I'm Laos myself and I love supporting my own culture but to get rip off.. That's an big NO in my book! The owner disrespectful her own workers and treat them so horrible, I don't understand how and why she is still in business. No one should ever be treated that way!! And, to have her speak like that to her staff in front of people was so not called for and so unprofessional!! So here is what I done, I took off all the whipped cream on top and went out to buy my own whip cream and we did the cake myself, and it taste so much fresher then before!! Beware owner sells old cakes!!!
