The observatory makes the planets, stars, comets, and other celestial bodies immediately accessible to view.
Selu Observatory is free and open to the public on clear Friday evenings during the academic year (Fall and Spring Semesters) beginning at 8pm. Sessions usually last about two hours, but may run longer or shorter depending on interest and sky conditions.
The Observatory is available at other times as well, so please monitor this page for announcements about additional hours.

A few miles from Exit 109 off I-81, its location makes it possible for Radford University students, school groups, families and interested local citizens to have the wonders of the universe available in a convenient setting.
