The worst experience ever at the Radys perinatal diagnostic today with the African American ultrasound technician who was pregnant also and applying crazy amount of pressure on my belly once I got off the table my whole belly was red! And she claims she wasn’t feeling well to her doctor she must’ve known the type of treatment and attitude she was giving me was going to be informed to her higher up so she beat me to it. worse experience ever will not be returning to this location!
I’ve been going to Rady’s Children since my kids were babies. 14 years now and they provide excellent service. Always caring and the facility is clean. I’ve never had a problem once. Mr. Miller was our primary and then we switch to Erin Ramirez and she is awesome! We switch because my daughter is a teenager now and I thought a female would be better for my daughter.
Let me start by saying that I don’t typically write poor reviews and I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. As a medical provider myself, I intimately understand the challenges of Google reviews with medical care. However, I am deeply troubled by the care we received here, and believe strongly that safety is at stake. My son’s life threatening bacterial infection was dismissed by the inpatient physician staff, when I asked about further work up and antibiotics I was told it was most certainly viral, we were discharged home after little to no improvement my son was hypoxic and had a fever at discharge and had I not known better, he could have been in much worse shape or even died. What happens to kids who’s parents aren’t medical providers? To top it off, we were told to “forget about the autism” when we expressed concerns related to this. I understand COVID has been hard on us all, but there was zero sensitivity to the possibility of anything other their assumed viral etiology of this illness. This an injustice to these children and a disservice to this community. I have zero confidence in our local childrens hosptial. Do better Rady’s.
The widest experience I have ever had with Rady’s hospital. They don’t care about kids or parents they just care about money. They have the sorest customer Survice ever. My daughter went through a surgery and we called them many time to know how much we are gonna pay and every time they promised that someone would call and never happened. Even physicians they just follow Rady’s guidelines and policy and they never look after the kids. They are the Worest
Horrible service waiting forever over three hours in the waiting room of the er no one here will tell me how much longer or what we were just transferred over from scripts hospital where we waited there in the waiting room for less than half the time and we've been at the hospital altogether since 12 this morning now it's close to 9pm and no word yet on what's going on the staff here should be ashamed at least let the parents know what is going on... not even a little bit common to hard to get a straight answer from this hospital
I just donated $ to go towards Christmas gifts that Rady Kids specifically ask for This is a direct result of the awesome work done by Sara McPhilmy, Director of Philanthropy. Sara prioritizes the true needs of children as she works tirelessly to improve patient experience‼‼
Horrible. Go anywhere else. First time there waited for 45 mins for the front desk to make your next appointment, then told they don't know how and will have to call you. Surprise, they never call. Then when you finally get your next appointment make sure you don't have any kids or make sure you have a full time babysitter or else they will not see you. They will rudely just say we won't see you today because you brought a 5 year old and cancel your appointment. No mention of this rule when making or confirming the appointment only when you show up. Then also refused to call you doctor or give you any paper work to give your doctor as to why they will not see you and front desk says it's not their job it's the MAs job but she's not here so pretty much tough luck. While standing there pregnant, hormonal and confused as to why they are making you choose between the care of your unborn child and the one you already have, you get to listen to everyone in the back laughing and joking around and mocking you.. If you like to have you time wasted this is the place for you.
I would honestly leave this hospital their ER department Zero stars if I could. I took my 7 month old daughter at the time to the ER because she was running a 104.6 temp. I told them she had been tugging at her ear and sick all day. I told them ear infection because I knew the symptoms. She had them all. I suffered from them as a kid. They brushed off my comments and ruled out ear infection and correlated the ear tugging to teething. She wasn’t actively teething at the time. The sent us home with the diagnosis of viral infection. Even though they couldn’t see her eardrum to see if there was fluid there or not because she had “built up wax”. I was there for 4.5hrs. To be misdiagnosed. They sent me home to give her Motrin 4.5ml ... the dosage for her weight for CHILDRENS Motrin. I had an infant. What do you think I gave her? Infants Motrin!! They did not specify. Being a first time, scared mom this was in the midst of COVID outbreak last year, I just listened without question until it seemed wrong that I was needing to fill the 1.875 infant Motrin more than 2 times to give her the right dose. I then checked and I was literally overdosing her for 24hrs. We had to contact poison control and all. The next day, her fever was still not going back down. She was still tugging her ear. I made my husband take her in because I felt they might’ve been biased against me as a young mom just being paranoid. My husband told the doctor to clean her ears right away. They did that and actually checked her ears... turned out she did had an ear infection after all. Always trust your gut and parent instinct. I disputed the charge for the first visit. They did not agree with my dispute and sent me to collections without warning or notice of the dispute decision. Here I am a year later still dealing with their negligence.
I have been taking my son to this hospital for almost 5 years now. My son requires of different types of expertice doctors so as an easier way I can pretty much find them all at this location. As this hospital can have some of the best doctors for children in different areas, it also has some of the WORST WORST RN NURSING I have ever encountered. I can count the times I have had to leave my son there because he is sick, or after OR procedures. I can tell you each time has been the most horrific experience. The best caring nurses are REALLY REALLY hard to find here. Mostly you get the careless, cold, dont care, just doing this because I get paid type of nurses. Its really sad, many children just like my son have to accept this type of care. It makes me sick to my stomach.
I’ve come here a total of three times for my knee to see Doctor Edmonds. Each time we were here, the wait was less than thirty minutes compared to the normal 45+ at the main hospital. They have and xray machine there and there was no wait for that either. The only reason why I would not give this place 5 stars is because the front desk staff is not very helpful. They do their job, but just the bare minimum, and they seem like they just want to be in their phones. But I’d say overall, this place is pretty good!
