I saw Dr.Becker, no physical exam, he sat at his computer and just typed, I had to repeat myself several times and I felt like I truly wasn't paid any attention to, nor were any of my concerns addressed, I am still waiting on my laps, and it has been 2 weeks. I've left several messages and still no response. -5 five stars. All the awards on the wall are either fake or people see something in him that many people don't, because all the awards in the world does not make you a good doctor, simply being a good doctor makes you a good doctor. The reviews are 100% true, stay away from this place.
Been hassling back and forth for a while now to obtain a prescription; not in a hurry to assist their patients needs. They preach to use the app for communication, however, they are not timely with a response or either short, not looking for a way to assist in the real concern. Don’t answer the phone 30-45 minutes before closing time. Also, their employees did not appear to be welcoming nor professional. Unsure if I made the right choice, however, the provider herself was very attentive and understanding.
Doctor is terrific. Support services and billing is terrible. Having been charged twice for same visit they billed my credit card AND my insurance, I was told I'd get my charges reversed on my card. Despite numerous calls, my $300 has not been reversed. Billing does not even pick up phone, although they acknowledged the error. Good luck getting hold of someone! Regret my endocrine surgeon sent me here.
I'll be honest, I was getting really nervous reading these reviews saying that I'd have to wait over an hour for an appointment. I noticed when I entered, that they have a sign to notify them if you've been sitting there for more than 20 minutes. I was probably sitting there for less than 5 minutes before I was called. Both the doctor and the nurse were very friendly and the doctor explained things clearly. Was a great experience.
I can not review the providers because we never got to see one. I am annoyed with front office/schedulers. I made a new patient appointment back in July. Called Monday 2 days before appointment to confirm date and time appointment confirmed via phone on Monday, we also received a confirmation text on Tuesday. Showed up today Wednesday 2 days later only to be told doctor is off all week and no available appointments until 2023. No apology, nothing. This is why no one has any trust in Healthcare. We will not be back.
Dr.Stall is one of best endocrinologist, I have met so far. ..Words cannot explain how; kind and extremely knowledgeable he is. It was so nice to meet a doctor who genuinely cares about people and Listens...with over 40 years of experience - it is obvious he is not a novice!
If I could give zero stars, I would. I was referred to see an Endocrinologist because of hypothyroidism and current difficulties I am having. Called this office to schedule a new patient evaluation with Dr. Sheshadri. The scheduling person was extremely unpleasant but I scheduled anyways, which was for 10 days later. I then get a call a few days later that they have to cancel my appointment and reschedule to Dr. Sheshadri's next available, which was 5 weeks later. I was very upset that this was her next available due to my current symptoms and needing to see a doctor sooner rather than later. The person on the phone was again very unkind and unapologetic and said they called me to cancel as a "courtesy". I was appalled and in shock with the lack of empathy, kindness, and rude attitude. This was my first contact with this practice and I was completely not going to give this practice a second thought. I cancelled the appointment and told them this was by far not the way to handle a practice. I called Carolina Endocrine and was greeted with a totally different experience, the way a patient should be treated.
Firstly, very few of the staff wear masks. I understand that Covid isn't scary for everyone but this is an office where most patients are probably immunocompromised. Secondly, it takes weeks to months to get a call back, even on time critical issues. When you do get a call back the staff is highly unpleasant and argumentative. The doctors themselves are alright, but overall not worth the unpleasant fight just to be seen, particularly if you have time sensitive issues. I hate leaving unpleasant reviews, but the issues I'm broaching here can be dangerous for sensitive populations e.g. most people who need to see an endocrinologist.
My doctor is very knowledgeable, if a bit rushed and using a “decision tree” model for my treatment. At this point, I don’t even expect to be perceived as a whole person beyond a diagnosis, but I do expect some communication and follow through. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing, so to speak. They canceled my November appointment with no email, no text, no call. I just happened to check the patient portal the morning of my appointment and saw it was canceled. I called scheduling that day and said I saw my appointment was canceled and that I was out of refills and needed one to tide me over until my next appointment. Sure, no problem, they said. Fast forward to 15 days later, today, i now have 8 days of meds left. I call my pharmacy, and surprise surprise, they have no levothyroxine for me. I called the doctors nurse and left them a message. The message recording says not to call back w/in 52 hours, so hopefully I’ll hear back from them in that time. side note: when I wrote her a message in the patient portal back in October, it took her 9 days to get back to me. I have some other gripes about the effort the put into communication, but I’ll try to stick to this story here I called scheduling again, because that’s the only way I’ve ever talked to a human. Scheduling said they “can’t go back there” to talk to the nurse because they’re too busy up front. Okay. I just called the on call doctors answering services, and hopefully I’ll be able to get my refill somehow. Will they let me know if they don’t do it? I don’t know. I just want 2 things: 1. Do what you say you will do 2. If you cannot do what you say you will do, let me know. I’m not even asking for anyone to remember my face, or see me holistically as a patient, I know that’s too much to ask of this medical model. But I would like some communication about when my doctor can’t see me and for someone to at least pretend they care when I’m running out of meds.
I had the worst time in this office! My daughter went to her appointment, and was not told beforehand that her appointment was cancelled. The same thing happened to my wife, and another patient told me that this has happened to her as well. This office is the worst in Raleigh, NC and I would tell anyone to stay away!
