Front desk needs training in procedures and customer service. Calls at 530pm after they are supposedly closed to cancel appointments for next day at 8 with no reason. Sets up appointments for scans that need an hour prep but when you show up before 8 and the door is unlocked will yell at you that they aren’t open which will then cause you to be late for your scan. When you speak with them on the phone they are short and not friendly nor knowledgeable. I do like that they have this office because it’s convenient but the front office staff needs more training
Any woman sent for a routine DXA scan by her provider should avoid this place like the plague. They are not accredited by the ISCD International Society of Clinical Densitometrists and the care shows it. DXA is extremely dependent upon proper positioning in order to obtain an accurate scan. It should take up to 30 minutes to properly position a patient for a DXA, not less than 10. A block and straps were not used to secure my feet and rotate my hips to the precise 15 degrees of internal rotation required to accurately scan the neck of the femur. I was just plopped down on the scanner. Additionally, the radiologist who read my scan was absolutely clueless. The consultant bone expert I ended up having to see after this botched scan actually had to call back to this center and chastise the radiology staff for making the rookie mistake of attempting to compare this scan to my previous one that was done on a completely different machine at the Raleigh location- something the ISCD does not allow for very specific reasons. So: sloppy test, and a sloppy radiologist interpreting the scan. And a nightmare for me to deal with in the wake of it all. Never again. There is one ISCD accredited radiology center in this area. It’s their competitor. Go there. Save yourself from the mess I had to deal with for MONTHS in the wake of being handed a life altering diagnosis totally derived from poorly obtained and badly interpreted data. A DXA only gives accurate data if it is extremely carefully conducted. Mine was not at all. I wish there was a zero stars option.
Can’t say enough about this facility, staff, technician- Shenika, and medical records staff. From the moment I checked in at the front desk until a phone call I made to request records, I was treated with patience, friendliness and courtesy. I was treated as if I was valued to be a patient. Results of my tests were sent to my doctor within hours! So comforting not to have to wait for days to receive the results. I highly recommend Wake Forest location of Raleigh Radiology.
I have been suffering with severe back pain and sciatica for the past 10 years, but this most recent bout has been an utter nightmare. I attempted to get into a "normal" MRI machine at a hospital nearer to me and discovered that I am, in fact, incredibly claustrophobic. I had THE panic attack of all panic attacks and was unable to continue and move forward with the MRI. I'm not one with many phobias, but this was INTENSE and caused a visceral reaction I hadn't anticipated. So I went home and did some research and found that my insurance covered Raleigh Radiology, which boasted a wide bore MRI machine which if you don't know, is a larger "feet first" machine. So I made my appointment, got a valium from my doctor and in I went. From the moment I walked in the door I felt comfortable. They have such a nice facility and really incredible staff. I wish I had gotten her name, but the kind woman that brought me back to the machine was incredibly comforting, kind and had a good sense of humor. We made our way back to the machine and the second I walked in the room, the young lady and the Tech named Roberto set out to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. They allowed me to pick a genre of music to listen to and let me tell you, that made all the difference. Every few minutes Roberto would ask if I was doing okay or needed anything. I mean the entire experience was such a stark contrast to my first MRI attempt. I can not recommend them more. They have helped assuage my fear of MRI's but pretty much specifically with them, I don't think I could go anywhere else. 10/10 - 5 Stars - and if any of the Raleigh Radiology management are reading this, you have incredible staff at this Wake Forest location. They deserve a raise or a bonus and a high five for a job well done. I will continue to speak praises of your business purely because of the incredible staff you have. THANK YOU!!!!
Everyone that I met on my visit was so nice! As nervous as I was, Marisol made me feel better by letting me know what was happening during my procedure; and I was done in 5-10 minutes! Quick procedure, and friendly employees! Would highly recommend!

Fast and efficient
Do not schedule anything here. A family member’s doctor referred her for a breast ultrasound after a mammogram showed high density. This is something that she has always needed every year, and other facilities have provided with no issues. Raleigh Radiology received her doc’s referral, read it over, and SCHEDULED her. On the day of her appt, TEN MINUTES PRIOR to the time she was supposed to ARRIVE for her ultrasound, she received a call from a provider at Raleigh Radiology canceling on her saying that they don’t DO those breast ultrasounds but said if she wanted she could schedule a very expensive and very invasive MRI some time. How can a radiologist read a referral, accept it, and schedule a patient for a specific procedure, only to call that patient MINUTES prior to a procedure and tell them, “Oh, sorry, we don’t do that here.” Is there a zero stars option?! I urge you to choose a different radiology group, there are many other options.
