If you're at all considering going here just go! My experience at Lan Ramen-Ya was exceptional and I'm already planning my next visit with friends! They have a diverse menu of Japanese based entrees so there is something for everyone if you were to dine here not looking for Ramen. The ambiance and service were also stellar! My boyfriend came in for lunch on a weekday in which they have a wonderful lunch menu that comes with side items & is very affordable for the large amounts of food received. Upon our servers appetizer recommendations, we started with the lamb ribs and the kinoko katsu. I had never tried lamb ribs and these were seriously to do for----especially since they are braised and glazed in a wonderful sweet and sour sauce. I couldn't believe how much I fell in love with the kinoko katsu which is a panko deep fried shiitake mushroom dish. This could easily be a meat substitute considering the intense umami flavor it was like easy the way better version of asian chicken nuggets! For our entrees my boyfriend and I shared a bowl of Kimchee Ramen and added bamboo shoots since I just love them. First off, the bowl is HUGE which makes the $14 price completely worth it. The flavor of their house made kimchee in it made it the best ramen I've eaten to date and I loved the additional ingredients they use which all were notably fresh! The second item we shared was their Tuna Poke bowl with red curry dressing. I can now say I have found my favorite poke place! The serving size is also massive and was beautifully plated with an abundance of ingredients: masago, avocado, marinated seaweed, cucumber, edamame, shallots and scallions. If you like a kick definitely go for the red curry sauce that gave my poke bowl an incredible boost of flavor! We ended our amazing meal with the coconut flan which even that blew me away! A wonderfully developed coconut flan rich in flavor and sprinkled with an assortment of toasted nuts, the sauce adding a touch of bitterness-----YUM! I will definitely be returning here and can't wait to try other menu items since my first meal was so breathtakingly perfect! I would also say that this restaurant is very vegetarian friendly so the next time I'm going out with a vegetarian this is where I will be going! IG: @KFitzEats
Great new ramen restaurant! Portions are large and affordable. There's no overcharging to have an egg in the ramen. The broth is rich but not too oily, noodles are cooked well, and each bowl comes with enough toppings. Their Japannese Fried Chicken appetizer also had a deliciously light batter! Service was friendly and street parking was very easy to find on a weekday night. Overall, this can't compare to really good ramen houses in Asia, NYC, or CA, but this is a very strong showing for SoFL.
The food is good. Got classic ramen $14 and meat lover fried rice $12. I’d come back but it is not a “die for” the ramen. When we came in there was no one to greet us and no server on the floor at all. We had to seat ourselves while the waitress was dividing between clients. Food took around 20-25 mins to arrive another waiter served us after we set down.
Service was Great our servers were very attentive and were very helpful in answering our questions Food was Great we tried several Ramen dishes, appetizers and desserts. All were very good. Pork melted in mouth, sauces and spices were delicious and well paired with courses Would recommend to Anyone if you have an itch for Ramen, or have never had Ramen and are curious.. you'd be doing yourself a favor going to Lan Ramen Ya
We loved the food and the friendly service. The 'classic' ramen was aromatic and robust, and the noodles fresh and tender. Miso ramen had a nutty taste with sweet chicken and scallion highlights. We will be back again and again I am sure. Congratulations to Chef Teh and his team for another innovative local hot spot.
This is a wonderful ramen spot which I think is underrated and not as well known. It took me some digging to find it but I am glad I did! I would love to see more spicy options on the Ramen menu to compete with excellent ones I have had in NYC, Chicago, and DC. If they really pushed the ramen menu into more creative ways with names and options such as "spice bombs" I know they would be overflowing with customers. They should check out the most popular and hisghest rated ramen restaurants around the country and try and bring some of that magic to Miami.
Best ramen spot I've been to in Miami. Perfect for a date night in my opionion. Great, attentive staff and simple atmosphere.
Ramen was great. Egg perfectly cooked, broth super tasty and the pork was soooo tender. My only problem was with the noodles, they were kinda clumpy. But overall everything was awesome including the service.
Everything about this place was amazing. The service but most importantly the food was amazing. Best ramen spot I've been in Miami!
Cute and quaint little place in Coral Gables! Staff was super friendly and fast, very attentive. Prices were great and I was happily surprised when they brought me a salad with my ramen! I had the Kimchi Ramen and it was DELICIOUS! Will definitely be coming back!!
