Still kind of a nice facility. But things are starting to show wear and tear. The seat next to me has a sticky button and wouldn't recline, while the seat in the other hand had a corner of the upholstery that was threadbare. I'm wondering when AMC will sink some money into the place and give it a makeover. Seems always busy when we go, but is still dated.
We went to the afternoon movie and joined the Premiere club. It was worth it. We walked in, went past the line waiting for tickets, scanned the phone and went right to the theater. The recliner chairs were almost too comfortable. I was told that I was napping waiting for the movie. Easy to view the movie and the sound was perfect. The staff was friendly, parking was easy and plentiful. We'll be back to see more movies at this great venue.
Excellent seats no matter where you sit. There is one problem however, we have seen two movies in two different theaters at this location and during the movie the front right speaker makes a buzzing sound at times. Not sure if it's a technical glitch but it is fairly annoying during quiet parts. The rest of this sound system is outstanding.
AMC Southington 12 exceeded my expectations! The theater was clean and well-maintained, and the seats were incredibly comfortable. The sound system was top-notch, making the movie truly come alive. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant visit. I'll definitely be returning for more movie nights!
Great theater. Good reclining seats. We saw Suzume with Japanese audio, and subtitles. It was quiet at some parts. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because when it was quiet I could hear the movie to my left and my right but not my movie. May need more sound blocking on the walls, but other than that it was great!
We went out for lunch before our movie this week, and Southington was great! This was my go to theater when I was younger! Great time!
The food line was very long, and the slushy machine was down, and no one told us. We had 2 empty cups the entire movie. Other than that it's usually pretty good and clean.
Were stubs members and its worth the membership. We always order our tickets ahead for convenience. Discounts and short lines. This theater is clean. Reclining seats. Great snack choices and my favorite vanilla coke! Yummo!
I always have had a positive experience coming here. Albeit food and drinks are expensive, but it's a movie theater. Reclining seats are nice and audio and visual aspects are great.
Parking lot had garbage everywhere, a speaker in our theatre was blown out, so anytime something had bass to it you hear a loud rattle. I left with a migraine. Bathrooms were gross, one of the bathroom walls looks like it shifted more than a few inches.
