Ray's On The Green

Went there for our Anniversary in February. Granted it was a Monday, but there was only a hand full of people in the restaurant. Our food took about 40 minutes to come out and was not very good. My wife got the prime rib and it was cold. The dinner rolls had been microwaved and the Calamari was okay. Beers were good and they had some nice locals on tap. I got the fish tacos, which was a nice mahi cut, and had a nice blackened flavor. However by the time we finally got our meals I was ready to go. Nice view of the St. Joe River, but the place needs some work.

Great venue and a menu that busts through the clutter of NORMAL. I had a perfectly cooked Flat Iron Steak and I ordered Tater Tots as my side just because I haven't had tater tots since my childhood. My wife loved the Crispy Pork Belly Tacos. They were fantastic and I was thrilled that she couldn't finish them. On a side note, our bartender knew how to pour a good strong drink. Definitely heading back.

The service was not good at all, super slow. I think if they would have had more people working the floor it would have been fine but my waitress didn't even remember silver ware and the food wasn't all that great. They didn't even have vinegar for my salad but could soak my bruschetta in vinegar. The fish was good. I went to the bathroom once and their water pressure sucked!

Go to Ray's often! You can't go wrong with the food or atmosphere. The Sunday Brunch and Lunches are great! When we have guests we always go to Ray's because they can always find something that whets there appetites.!

Our server Tia did a great job, and made sure my three girls were well taken care of. The Reuben is one of the best in the area, and the mac -n- cheese was homemade.

The Prime Rib dinner and fish catch of the day was excellent. I loved the food and the view.

Rays on the green is the definition of awesome! Definitely worth a visit, or 10.. :
