My brother & sister an-law loved it here and I visited them in Feb 2022 and also loved the location and all the great seafood in the area. Its all gone now with Hurricane Ian and I really hope no one from there lost there lives. My Uncle also had a nice little place across the street but believe it also might be history. Very upsetting but Mother nature has a way of reminding us who's who. Recover Fort Myers as you have a wonderful city !
After reading some negative reviews about the staff being rude, I was a little concerned, because I like to be around nice happy people. We went ahead and reserve and decided to leave this review to let everyone know how it went! Before our arrival date, I called to ask a few questions, spoke to Thomas, who was very nice and answered all my questions! My husband did the check in, not sure how it when because his English is not very good looking! LOL We were on the third road by the beach, it is true that the RV’s are very close to each other, but we did not have a problem with that. I went to the office to do the check out and Kim and another nice lady were the ladies who answered a few more questions I had regarding renting again. Always remember if you are nice to people there is a big chance they will be nice to you. Can’t wait to go back to this super nice place!
Very pricey, extremely small spaces. The ocean is across the road. Good location. Since the hurricane Ian, not open for business..No date to when they will open again....
I am trying to book for New Years this year. We had the most wonderful stay at this RV Resort. The staff provides the most phenomenal service. The community is wonderful. We would love to come back. Well done Red Coconut!
Overall, our stay was very enjoyable!! My family and I camped at Red Coconut with my brother in law and his grandchildren during July 2022. They gave us side by side lots for our rigs and honestly, the sites are pretty standard for rv parks near the ocean. Customer service was acceptable and the rates are reasonable. We usually travel with my brother in law and are both looking forward to staying here in the future, hopefullywe can get a lot on the ocean side. I recommend Red Coconut.
This really is a hidden gem of a place. We stayed here 6 days. We found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. Yes, the sites are tight but it doesn’t feel intrusive. It has a homely vibe about it. We love the location. The beach is just across the street, like literally after you cross the street. Yes, the street is busy but there is a crossing light to help pedestrians get across. We were in walking distance if a great breakfast spot, a great bar and restaurant and conveniently a 7 eleven for those late night sweet tooth's. I think the people leaving bad reviews are nitpicking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already booked for the holiday’s.
Bath houses are pretty gross. No ventilation so it smells constantly. Overall decent camp ground. There isn’t much to do at the camp ground except go to the beach which is close. I recommend finding a better experience than this one.
Staff always incredibly rude, I made a reservation for a 30 feet size without a slide for $79 a night and couldn't open the awning because the space is too tight. I asked them to change to another space and they told me that there was no availability and always with a very bad attitude. I made a phone call a few minutes later to make a new reservation and they had availability. I will never return to this place.
Really great vintage RV Park! Helpful and friendly staff. Very well kept grounds. Right across street is a great beach as well!!
Just about a total Wipeout from Hurricane Ian. Still no water or electricity- looks like a ghost town! Noteworthy details: Total ghost town except for FEMA, construction crews, electricians.
